  • Morning everyone :) Thanks for all your lovely comments yesterday, it sucks quite a lot but all we can do is pick ourselves up and try again - it's the only way it's ever going to happen. I have some blood tests for thyroid function and diabetes on Thursday morning, so it seems like we're moving forward a bit although I am waiting on an appointment with the clinic.

I think coming back to work stressed me out a bit yesterday, because it started up the bleeding again. Boo. Now I feel guilty because you're not supposed to DTD until it stops... and we did (more than once!) at the weekend. Oh well.

    So - PMA time:
    • I bought a mooncup last week. Either we get pregnant this month (clearly my preferred option!), or I get to use my new mooncup, which I'm actually ridiculously excited about. DH thinks I might be mad (and has warned me not to boil it in any saucepan he might have to eat out of).
    • We will be able to go to my cousin's wedding in the August bank holiday, which we wouldn't have been able to as I was due and it's in Wales - 200 miles away.
I'm running out of other PMA ideas, but I'm generally feeling more positive today.

So, FF is running a FB promotion today for the VIP membership - is it that good? It's only £15, I suppose... Help! Someone tell me what to do!

I'm getting used to it now! I won't lie, they don't taste very nice, but I mix them in a small espresso size cup with boiling water and leave them until they are still hot but cool enough to drink. Then I pour a glass of milkshake or smoothie, take one mouthful of smoothie, drink the shot of medicine in one, and immediately finish the glass of smoothie and it is tolerable. Funnily enough, I do feel in fine fettle too. My digestive system is working very well and I have no PMT symptoms yet. I've decided this month to be PUPO and enjoy it :) so so far have been quite relaxed. Not enjoying the acupuncture so much, as the needles going in do sting a bit.

How are things going with you? Read your post earlier when you seemed quite gloomy about your prospects this month. Did you not manage to get some make up BD in in time, or are things just getting on top of you? xxx

Hum sounds like an interesting way to get them down but if they are helping has to be all good.

Yes on a bit of a downer as I don't think we BD'd enough this month at the right time what with all the rowing & stuff just want to start again with a clean slate with the help of the reflex etc. Also feels better and like we are in a better place as a couple to move forward.

It was the anniversary of our 1st date yesterday :o

Sa-ra-ra glad you're feeling better enough to face work but don't rush yourself! you come first now and always. Fingers crossed for the tests, hope they can find you some answers. i haven't replied to your post on the MC thread because i've 'only' had one so have no answers to your questions but i have been thinking of you x x
i always feel somehow all motherly and protective of ladies with angels, so i apologise if i seem patronising :o

    Nicki, what's PUPO?

my jaw is sore and it seems to be coming from where my bottom right wisdom tooth has a flap of gum over it. so i'm signing up at an NHS place, telling myself it's cos i don't want mum paying for private anymore (she has a family plan) but secretly it's cos i don't want to go back to that dentist, lovely though he is, as i was meant to go back after my root canal and that was three years ago.
he told me to go back when the root died and i don't think it has yet anyway, when he was doing it he coudln't numb it so i kept getting a drill right into a nerve. pain was really bad and it really frightened me every time i was there. so somehow i've been reluctant to return.
appointment is on the 12th which is when i'm due on if 42 day cycle. so if no AF, i'll do a test in the morning to make sure i'm not pg as he might give me antibiotics.

Actually, do any of you ladies know what would happen if i was pg and entitled to free treatment? would i be allowed to get it from the private place or would i have to be at NHS anyway?

TeamLowe - I get that all the time with my wisdom teeth - it's a bacterial infection. Dentist tells me to brush the actual wisdom tooth even though it hurts at least after every time you eat. And use gallons of Corsodyl - nothing else works and it has to be the proper stuff not the daily mouthwash. He also gives me antibiotics which sort me out in days. I checked with him and he said that it wouldn't affect either TTC or either if I was pg as I'm in the 2ww.

Each time a dentist has told me "you've had enough rounds of antibiotics now I think we'll have to have them out" I've moved dentist. Unfortunately I can't get away with that little wheeze anymore and I'm booked in to have them out in about 8 weeks. It's no word of a lie to say I'm TERRIFIED! I know giving birth is horrifically painfull but I reckon I'd rather do that than have a tooth pulled, at least its natural. I hate the thought of teeth being pulled.

Ok I know you guys wont actually care about this :D but in just under 3 weeks hubby appears to have recovered from his operation. We were able to BD this morning :j

That's one obstacle sorted. Just have to deal with the lack of ovulation now and we have as good a shot as anyone else
