    Right then!

Can anyone tell me why I managed to lose 1.5 stone over last summer yet since starting TTC in September I have just played at weight loss & stayed the same (despite still having a BMI over over 30). No? Neither can I!

So, back to SW tonight it was. Paid up front for 12 weeks. Hopefully a BFP will come my way during that time.

Anyway, that's me sharing my good talking to myself.

Back to the TTC thread, CD14. Still confused as CBFM on high yet OPK still has a dark test line this morning (has been like that since Friday).

Managed to BD 4 times over the weekend (that's normally a month's worth - lol). OH away today (think he needed a rest). Will check CBFM again tomorrow to see if there's a peak.

Q - I'll jump on the Valentine's testing list too & start the February predictions with an 8

Ikkle - Sorry for your loss and congratulation for BFP. I wish you a happy pregnancy and an easy birth.

20somethinghousewife - welcome and I hope you'll get yout BFP soon.

I think AF is will be here soon as I had some cramps today :j.

I was looking on Pregnology web site and I've found this interesting info:

Research supports the suggestion that a bright 100W bedside lamp used on 5 consecutive nights prior to ovulation can cause reduction of long menstrual cycles.

So I've googled that and discoverd that the whole concept has a name: LUNACEPTION. Basiclly you balance your hormones with the help of the light. They say that lunaception can help regulating the menstrual cycle (because of the melationin production). Has anyone heard anything about this?

I just read a blog and this lady was sleeping with an eye mask from day 1 to day 13, then starting with day 14, she was sleeping without the eye mask for 3 days (she had a clock that was lighting the room) and then she was sleeping with an eye mask for the rest of the cycle (after these 3 days). She was ovulating in those 3 days, apparently :undecided.

PS: My hubby saw me reading about the lunaception and he said: Oh! Farmes do the same with their hens to lay more eggs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. He made me laugh.

ikkle - just wow. I don't really know what to say. What a day. You must be a bag of confused emotions. I'm really, really sorry for your loss but very pleased for your BFP.

    Hello everyone.

Unfortunately my mother in law passed away at 4:50am today. She was peaceful and sleeping and that brings some comfort to us all.

Sadly she went before we had chance to tell her our news, but I think she knew really. Myself and OH are overwhelmed with different emotions at the moment, we want to be happy but it feels wrong, yet it feels equally wrong to be sad and cry. I had a few moments with her and told her we loved her and asked her to look after us and that we would miss her.

Oh ikkle I am so sorry to hear about your Mother in law.

don't be sad about being happy abour your BFP - if there's one way to celebrate a life its to start a new one and I'm sure your MiL would be so happy for you and would want you to be looking after yourself and your OH over the next few weeks.

Ikkle, so sorry to hear. I think zcrat says what I want to say beautifully.

Just a bit - think I might be going a bit loopy atm :o

Is it Thursday you're at the doctors? Can you tell him it's only just started easing off (I'm guessing he won't want proof )
Nah, I think it's par for this particular course :o

Tomorrow afternoon I'm at the docs :) I'll see what he says. And no, I doubt he'll want proof ;)
Hi, I'm new to this section of the forums *nervous wave* can I join you?
 Welcome! :D Just remember there's no such thing as a silly question ;)

lol at someone asking Secrets if she had tested by the way. We know Secrets keeps the testing business in business!

The test I did was a boots one, but not their really cheap ones (why I think the cost matters is beyond me!). I'll test on Wednesday morning if no sign of AF.

Thanks all for the support! Especially ikkle, when you have plenty else on your mind.

Little Moog or QQ or Sexymouse... could you please move me to 1 Feb testing. :)
  • :j I think I've sussed out why my cycles gone weird!! I havent taken Agnus Castus/evening primrose or the B6 this time - just the folic acid. Not that it helps me now - but at least I think I know why it's gone strange again!! Time will tell whether I'm still in or not this month. Hopefully I ov'd last night or this afternoon while the swimmers were still knocking about. If not then I'm declaring myself out for the rest of the cycle because I'm just upsetting myself & theres no point being pregnant & looney (sounds like a new c4 show).

Oh Ikkle I am so sorry for your news of your MIL. I know how you feel trust me, and the next few months will be hard so huge hugs. Just concentrate on the news of the new little life growing in you. Also strange advice but get you and your OH out of the house, and doing something. When my OH's mother died in much the same way all he wanted was to get out to take his mind off things. In fact I think I forced him to leave the house and play cricket.

Sorry for my mood earlier, I was just feeling down as for some reason I really felt it was my month, especially when I was spotting last week at 8dpo. OH has booked an appointment tomorrow at the doctor's to see about a SA, as he had mumps as a child and although he went for a SA about 5 years ago he can't remember what they said, except that he had a lower count than average, but doesn't remember how low.
Think he can tell I am feeling low at the moment, as he bought me a huge bouquet of flowers yesterday. The first time he has ever bought me flowers in 9years! My fault in that respect really, as I worked for 2 years making bouquets and it really spoilt the idea of them as a gift. So was really wonderful to get one, and such a surprise, in fact so much of a surprise I had to go and borrow a vase from work as I don't own one.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
