Trying for a Baby Part 7

Ah they sound like lovely parents, just what you need at a crappy time in your life. I'm sure that they'll be wonderful grandparents to your LO
It's so sad that you had to deal with so many insensitive people though, every baby is a blessing IMO no matter how old you are and I'd never say that a MC could be anything but devastating
Oh they will. They're already wonderful grandparents to my 5 neices and 2 nephews!
Ahh, I know. I *think* that they were trying to be helpful, in their own way and get me to see things in a positive light. And some of them may have even genuinely thought that they would feel relieved in my position. But I just felt like my feelings were dismissed, or seen as petty, and got very annoyed when they didn't listen to me telling them that I was devastated.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Thanks for all your responses.
Just called docs and had a chat, only with receptionist but she was lovely! Got to call Monday for another appointment with same doc, hope she can provide me with answers or a referral at least!0 -
*hugs* to euronorris, every child is a miracle and nobody has the right to tell you you would have been an awful mother
My DH was born the day before his mum's 17th birthday and he's the loveliest person you could ever meet (ok maybe i'm biased) and has done really well for himself, whereas there's other people in my life who's parents 'did it right' who are right prats!
At least you know you have wonderful parents and can be a great support yourself to anyone close to you who finds themselves pregnant at a young age
btw my last entry was meant to be much longer but it had to be cut short as an ICT bloke wanted to look at my computer
been feeling really off all day, like even though i've eaten loads i've been feeling faint when stood up and getting really hot
oooh and the cervix checking has hit a new height-i felt the opening! all my googling said you could feel whether it was open and closed and i never have, but last night i sort of pushed to the side and felt it, it must be titled! not that i'm SSing as the internet is emphatic that it's no way to check if you're pregnant, i'm just finding it fascinating lol
if anyone wants to look at pictures of other women's cervixes then there's a site called beautiful cervix. probably not work safe though
Also we've booked 2 nights in a premier inn in Swansea on Valentine's day after :money:said there'd be a sale so it's cost us 38 quid for both nights. bargainis it wrong though that i'm hoping it works out that it's Ov those days? lol x x

Euro, my childhood best friend had the exact same comments made (she did know she was pg and was, I think, about 4months gone
). People don't realise how insensitive they are, I guess
DH just text me:
"Got your moon cup. The guy didn't know what it was so he asked the girl who was on and she gave him that look and then went and got one. Ignorance is bliss I suppose."
:rotfl:

Thanks
It's one of the reasons why I'm try to keep my relationship with my neices a bit more relaxed, and open than my aunts or uncles were with me. I want them to feel like they can ask me questions openly, without fear of being told off, in case they feel a bit weird or uncomfortable asking their Mum.
In might not work, but the two eldest (who are cousins, not sisters) started their periods this month, and both contacted me independantly from their Mum's to let me know. Have got some 'free' discreet san pad tins to send them both, which are being given away with a certain brand of san pads here at the moment (Libresse - which I think is Bodyform in the UK). Must get those in the post!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Oh, 4 months?! Wow! How can someone not realise that, after 4 months, you're going to be hugely attached. I mean, I can understand their logic with me (I don't like it, but I can see where they're coming from) as it was early on, but 4 months in? Some people need to engage their brains more often!

:rotfl::rotfl:At your OH! Good that he was even willing to get it though, let alone ask. A lot of guys are too embarassed!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
There's no way my OH would go and get a moon cup for me from a shop, I have got him trained rather well and he will go and get tampons and lady things, and pregnancy kits but only from our chemist. Think he would die of shame, especially as I showed him what they are,as I was on about ordering one some time.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0

My OH would be OK with it, but that's cos pretty much nothing embarrasses that man! lol
When I showed him the Mooncup site, he found the love your vagina song very funny!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

How do you feel your own cervix??! Honestly, I can't get my hand up there far enough! Have I got a really long fanny or something?!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

now that's a chat up line if ever i heard one, have an image of you going saying to some lucky guy you have a really long fanny :rotfl:
it's difficult the first time cos you don't know what you're looking for, but once you find it you never lose it again, just like that other bit of the female anatomy men struggle with sometimessometimes you do have to put all your finger up there, especially around Ov
this site explains it well

feel free to wiggle your finger a bit too, sometimes it's a bit tilted x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
