Pumpkin Pie, It's lovely to hear you sounding so happySounds like you had a great time in London. Did you buy anything?
Take care of yourself.
Rose, I think that they forget that we are adults. I'm sure they still see us as children.
I know what you're saying and I can see why they worry but argh sometimes you just need time away from everyone to think things over and that.
I'm always here for you to hun. On here, MSN, Phone

Hi Everyone!
There's tons of self-help books - but everything you ever needed to know about how to live your life you learnt in kindergarten!
LESSONS OF THE SANDPIT
Share everything
Play fair
Don't hit people
Put things back where you found them
Clean up your own mess
Don't take things that aren't yours
Say sorry when you hurt somebody
Take a nap every afternoon
When you go out watch for traffic hold hands and stick together
Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup - the roots go down and the plant goes up - no-one really knows how or why but we are all like that
Goldfish and hamsters white mice and seeds all die. So do we.
Remember the two most important words: look and listen
Sent this recently to a dear MSE friend - depression sufferer but never posts about it......BTW have you noticed how HUGE the viewings are for this thread??
Take care everyone

Hi beer!
beer2006;4728068]
Not a problem Tiff, I will come over very early, so you can meet me and I'll pick you up and take you there myself.
Pick you up, as in my car.............:D
Ooh, you've given me a case of the vapurrs:rolleyes: beer!
Or is it too much catnip?
Thank you beer - you're a gentleman!:T
How are you beer?
I think looking after others helps us both Tiff. xx
But you have to let others look after you sometimes as well.
You are a great resource on this thread beer. I think we've been blessed in a way, to have found each other at this time in our lives.
I know one of the main things that has been causing any depression I have and that is now almost sorted, that sounds a bit funny, but you will just have to trust me on this.
I've always known it was causing me problems, but just got on with my life and ignored it, that was a big mistake.
Yes angel, but we don't know that ignoring a problem is a big mistake until we're much further down the road and it's causing us problems.
At the time, whatever the problem may be, we use the only resources we have to get through it the best way we can. It doesn't mean it's the "right" way (as elona said, there's a right way?) but some situations are so big, that the only thing that matters is getting through it.
Our minds go into survivor mode, imho, and even though the solution we jump at might help us in the short term to survive, in the long term, sometimes it can be destructive. Our minds think 'Right - that got us through once - I'll carry on with this!'
We musn't be too hard on ourselves.....hindsight is a wonderful thing angel.
Hoping your well.
Much Love,

Hi sazzery!
How are you hun?
Don't you know by now that Tiff is always looking?!:D
And it's because of that '1 glass of red' ( ), that you get yourself into situations like this...:rotfl:
Hope you're well angel. Take the weekend off.
Thinking of you.

Hi cat!
How are you hun?
quote=Cat72;
I feel trash today.I slept too much and woke up feeling like I was drunk.
Oh cat, we all feel like that when we get over-tired hun. Just look at is one big cat-nap.;)
I should be really happy as I got accepted for uni last week , which was something I had wanted for years. It has been a dream ofmine for ages to get into the area that the course gives me and it means that in 2 years I will finally get my dream job and a solid living in something I love.Congratulations angel!
Good for you hun.:T After all the stress of trying to start your dream, you may feel a little bit numb when you've succeeded.
However its all been totally shadowed by being physically ill and this is starting to bring my mind down. I wanted to celebrate my good news but instead have been ill. Its so funny how physical illness really brings back depression and its a constant fight- as many of you know- to try to keeped balanced.
I'm sorry you are ill cat - I hope it's nothing serious hun. You're so right, when we feel physically ill, it's like a domino effect and it doesn't take long for us to feel low in our mood.:o
My oH has been a plonker about me being ill- and his moodiness isnt helping as I feel unsupported. I suppose my not being cheery is affecting him and the way he relates to me. He swoons between being mr supportive and mr !!!!. So because im feeling physically trash im feeling mentally trash ! I keep trying to pep talk myself so am fighting it. Oh whoa life - its a bummer, even the suns gone - I have fog outside and its cold !
Angel, some people just don't understand unless they've been there themselves. Anybody - mental ill health or not - is going to feel down when they're ill. But if you have mental ill health, then that always gets the blame. I hope you're feeling better cat.
A small note - i take it a few of you have cats ? my cats have been the best thing to help me over the years.[/quote]
Cats? What - on here?
No - no I don't think so hun. You must be mistaken.
There again...
Our feline friends have the uncanny ability to empathise with us imho. It's because they are so independant, that when we're very low and they come to us, it's a wonderful feeling! :T
They don't have to come to you (not like thicky doggies who are so demanding and won't leave you alone for a minute - walkies - feed me - pet me - brush me - play with me - !:D) Oops - think I just started WWIII!.
They can sense atmospheres and they are a great source of comfort.;)
Have a great weekend angel.
