Well, I'd better crash. Gotta get up for W tomorrow:rolleyes: Sweet dreams everyone
Much love,

American Idol is great. I love the Americans' energy and really want to go back to visit. It has been 5 years since last visiting the States:(
Those New Yorkers are right nutters, and felt right at home when I visited there:D
There were a couple of good ones last week.
Carol Bayer Sager so reminds me of Joan Collins:eek:

Hi pumpkin!:hello:
Thanks for your hugs angel. I hope you're feeling better hun.
I'm glad you managed to survive 'The Visit'! You can breathe a sigh of relief now hun - you don't have to put on the 'happy front' now.;) It sounds like you managed to enjoy the visit anyway.:T
As the lovely sazzy mentioned, we can only point you in the direction of the professionals hun and maybe point out options you haven't thought of or advise of different agencies to approach with regards to getting help. Isn't it amazing what an outsider can see but we can't see what's staring us in the face?! That's why this board is so great.;) And you've no need to apologise angel - I leave sazzy alone for a couple of days and you see what happens?!:D:rotfl: Not really sazbomb - you're a sweetie!
:A
Each one of us has a different body and personality, been through different experiences, are at different stages and so we all need different kinds of help. God forbid that we should tell you what meds to take and how to take them and then something that we've said makes our pumpkin even more poorly!
Have you not heard about our miro () and The Great Blue Smartie Cupboard ?
Why not book a phone appointment with your gp and ask about your symptoms if you can't wait until the end of the week angel? If you feel really poorly, make an appt and go see the gp in person. They are used to all kinds of eventualities and have experience in knowing what to look for. There are side effects to some meds for some people and they usually go away. Try and remember that your body is adapting itself to the ad and it may just need a while to settle down. However, it can never hurt to play safe and speak to the dr either hun.
Let us know how you get on hun - you know the family are always here for you!
Much Love,
Tiff xxx

Good morning guys!:hello:
I hope we all made it through the weekend safe and sound. Got a lot of post to read - you have been busy little beavers!;)
I hope you can all find even just a few minutes, to remember how unique and special you are. No-one can take that away from you. It can really help during those low times when you feel the opposite, if you can try and remember that you are special and that the bad times will pass.
Anyhoo, have a great week everyone! Take care.

Hi tev (forgive the abbreviation angel!:o ) - welcome hun!
I was about to leave but felt compelled to reply to your posts which
I've read with interest and sympathy.
First of all hun, we don't do 'silly' here. Well - maybe we do sometimes, but it's silly-funny not silly-stupid! If you can put up with The Archangel Sazbomb, a badger and a Tiff with a cat fascination:rolleyes:, amongst many others - you are more than welcome! They are wonderfully kind people overall, as you have already seen from the great advice they've given you.
I'm so sorry you're hurting so much and I can hear the panic in your posts hun. It's not uncommon for relationships to suffer when someone has mental ill health tev. You have to separate the problems you have, I think hun. If you look at everything at once, it seems overwhelming. So Tiff's favourite advice is to break it down into pieces and that can make it seem more manageable.
-Firstly, even though it sounds so negative, your OH is talking to you. That's a good thing because it means that he hasn't cut you off. He's explained how much he is hurting over the situation with his sons. He's telling you, if I've interpreted it correctly, that he's afraid, that he doesn't know what to do and that he's really hurting.
-Though he's saying things that are hurting you hun, this could all be part of his depression and you need to be calm and try and take a step back and remember this - which must seem impossible to you now. All of this affects you and your reactions are completely normal sweetheart. So, back to the pieces - what can you do?
- Continue to try and persuade him to see his gp. You should never just stop taking ad's without a dr's supervision. He may have felt he was getting better but didn't realise that it may have been because of the ad's. You could ask the gp to intervene if you feel that OH is a risk to himself or others.
- How close and supportive are either of your families? Could he take a few days to stay with them just to take the heat and pressure off the situation?
- You can call your gp for advice and support for yourself and the children. You are going to need help yourself to get through this too tev. Be completely honest with the gp hun, even though it's hard. Don't be afraid to ask for help for yourself angel and accept it in whatever form it's offered.
- Look in your local phone book and see if you can find a number for Homestart which is a charity that helps families with young children (I think under 5) who are in need of support.
- As far as contact with his sons, contact CAB and see what they advise with regards to his current rights. He sounds lost - if he can see that you can both try and put a plan together to try and change the situation with his sons, he may feel better. Their website has a list of factsheets. legal and otherwise, that you can download for free, that cover a multitude of problems.
- It may also be a good idea to talk to Relate. They have also got a wealth of experience and contacts that may be able to help. They can be a valuable sounding board for the relationship side of the situation.
I think that your first port of call should probably be with your gp angel. They have access to a wide range of support that may help.
I don't know if any of the above helps you angel. I think right now, you need to stay as calm as you can, keep talking to him quietly and communicating and be honest with him about how you feel about him and what you are going to do to try and help. Imho, I think he should see the gp really hun - tell him he has nothing to lose by seeing the dr and say wouldn't it be worth it if you can get some support?
You can tell the gp about the problems when you go for your own appointment, because they are making you so stressed.
Post here as much as you want angel - the guys here are so kind and between them, they also have a wealth of experience. If nothing else, you are guaranteed a hug.;) Take care hun.
Much Love,

Morning all. Hugs to all whether they need or want them or not because I feel like hugging somone and I've no one to hug
Woke up from another weird dream (There were two blind people walking down the road, and one dropped her coat, I went and picked it up and took it to her, and someone started telling me off for it as if I was making fun of her being blind or something, then the next thing I knew I was delivering her baby, or about to) then my alarm went and I dragged myself out of bed, rang up to find out what time mentor wanted me in, she said just come at 12ish. Back to bed I think for me today. Has anyone got any exciting plans?0 -

Where did you stay and what did you see?
I hope you enjoyed yourselves:)
We stayed at the George Hotel, very nice though a bit noisy at night and we did wait over an hour for our room service on Friday night. Didn't go anywhere really, wandered around the shops on Princes Streets, went out eat lunch and dinner on Saturday.
Miro - Good to hear from you. I was starting to worry if everything was okay.
Ethel - Glad you had a better weekend and you had a chance to re-charge your batteries. Hope DD continues to improve.
Better go, gotta go to the doctors. (just blood tests to check everything is okay).
Big hugs to allHug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
