It won't be "off" but it might taste a bit stale. I'd make sure you serve a very flavoursome sauce with it!

I've done it slowly but the kids and husband just love taste of the cooking, and both my girls find that they eat half as much as they did before cos the yare not eating rubbish. They are 16 and 14. OH is teh opposite as I use him as the tester, Sat he had flu and I gace him HM mushroom soup with fresh HM bread - he had 2 bowls and couldn't move! he didn't know the soup had all the leftovers from the fridge and I got a big box of mushrooms around 15lb from the market for £2!Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Love this thread & have just subscribed.
We have just started to get to grips with using leftovers, as I came from a large family, so there were never any leftovers.
But from reading posts in this forum, I have learnt lots of using leftovers and freezing food items, that I didn't know you could freeze. Such as bananas. Great idea!
I am definately up for this challenge. Will be sorting out my food cupboards/fridge/freezer today and jotting down what we have and the dates, so have an idea of what needs to be used up first.
This is great thread for reducing food waste, but would like to tackle other areas of waste. As we are have lots of waste in wheely bins, due to having two small children, and would really like to know if can re-use items we normally throw away.
We already re-use food containers, e.g. margarine tubs, and keep some items for arts and crafts sessions with my daughter. But still there must be so much more we can do.
Any ideas! Is there another thread dealing with household waste in general?
Thanks.0 -
