I have a half bottle of flat lemonade. Does this work the same way?Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have.0

For anyone who's interested, I made soup with my leftover cauli and blue cheese.
All the cauli inc stalks went in the slower cooker with chicken stock.
Fished out the stalk once it had been cooking for a few hours.
Added low-fat natural yoghurt and whizzed with a hand blender.
Added crumbled blue cheese and cooked for a few more hours.
Made loads and loads, some of which is coming to work tomm in my flask.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
A quick search through the larder tonight when looking for something for pudding revealed a sachet of tesco brand angel delight equivalent. Butterscotch flavour. Yum! BBE May 2006!!! Nearly three years over - I'm actually proud of that one.
It was, I should add, delicious!

If I have leftover veg from a roast or things wilting in the crisper, I chop them up, grate some cheese, beat some eggs, season with salt and pepper, bake at 200 covered in foil until the top is puffy and serve with toast!0

I've read this whole thread over the last week or so and there's some brilliant ideas. I tried making crisps from potato peelings last night (a suggestion earlier in the thread) and they were gorgeous! I have saved tonights peelings for when I next use the oven.
I have a bag of oat cereal which has oat clusters, coconut, sultanas and almonds, but it is far too sweet for me. I was wondering if I could turn it into cereal bars/flapjacks, but didn't want to make them even sweeter! Any ideas? I have a 1kg bag so a few suggestions would be great to try and use them up.
Many thanksGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Maybe you guys can help. I have a small white cabbage and a packet of shortcrust pastry, which need using. I just can't think of anything to do with either.
ThanksI wish Germany had a website like moneysavingexpert!0 -
Hi egon,
You could use the white cabbage steamed and tossed in butter or make it into coleslaw. The pastry could be used to make a savoury or sweet pie, quiche, jam tarts etc all of which you could freeze until you needed them.
There are more ideas on these threads:
white cabbage
leftover Shortcrust pastry
