Sounds lovely Mamae. Sometimes leftovers can be better than the original dish.
I sometimes do this with leftover pork;)0 -
Hello mamae, and welcome out of lurkedom  We have an existing thread on using up leftovers. I'll add your post to that to keep ideas together.

Last night I had a bit of bolognaise left over, but not quite enough to feed both me and the fella... mixed it in with the left over salsa in the fridge from our mexican night, and voila! Instant chilli! And it meant that we had enough for last night's tea, and for him to take for his lunch today.
As for pork.. I'll have a wee bit of a think. I'm sure I can come up with something better than a lovely warm sandwich!

I often use leftover pork in a stir fry or make chunky cubes out of it, batter and fry it and pop sweet and sour sauce over it, serve up with egg fried rice.0

Hi Everyone
First time posting
Hope this is the right place to post here, but i need a little bit of help, i need to stopp wasting food, and i need ideas on what i can do.....
At the moment, from last nights tea i have a little bit of mashed potatoes, cabbage and a few cooked carrotts.... i know there is something i can do with these, but i can not think for the life of me what it is.
Any ideas, or is there a site that i could look at for some ideas.

You could wrap it in pastry and call it a pastie.
You could fry it all up, like stovies (yum!)
You could cook some mince, put your leftovers on top, cottage pie.
I'm sure the next idea will be along in a minute.

Bubble and squeak, mix it all together and fry it, you could have it with a few sausages or bacon.

Bubble & Squeak! Mix the veg and potatoes together and fry it. If you have any cheese, bacon, or leftover meat, so much the better, but it's delicious without. Just heat some oil in a frying pan, fry the mixture on a low heat until it's brown on the bottom, then mix it up so the crispy bits are stirred through. Serve with ketchup, chili or HP!2015 comp wins - £370.25
