Well done on getting an idea past micro manageralthough I would probably brace yourself now. I'm sure she will claim credit when it does save money from said budget.
Oh yes more than likely that will happen.........but just getting them to listen was a small inner victory!
Let's hope more people get out and actually vote this time around.
I know what you mean and I can sometimes understand, sometimes, why people dont vote, but if they dont use their vote, they cant complain afterwards, IMO. Our DDs ask us why we bother and we have given all the reasons why but it wasnt until we said 'because we can' that the penny dropped with DD1 who is of voting age.........I hope she votes this time;)
Caught up with my PADs. £70 a week for all food and toiletries going OK so far but then we still have bulging store cupboards and freezers. Good job too because pay day eons away........:(Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

My £70 a week food/toiletries/pet food budget holding well. I have decided to try getting the cash out every week - have used a DC for years so having lots of cash in purse is a bit strange - usually just have a £10er and loose change. Now I seem to have lots os loose change which I usually sweep into my saving pots..............does this mean my saving pots will fill up quicker and therefore the CCs will be paid off sooner.............hmmmm:p
I made a full inventory of the food in our store cupboard.........I am just a little shocked as to how much was in there and I may well post it on here so maybe somebody may have a few ideas how to use it up! Actually I have some ideas but new ones would be welcome. Yet to do a full inventory of freezer - tomorrow nights job maybe.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

£70 weekly budget still working - loving getting the cash from ATM and restricting the spend! Store cupboard still plentiful so I guess when we need to start replacing stuff then there wont be as much money 'left over' at the end of each week.
Work at home day today and typical and I am floored with a heavy cold .......dont feel like doing anythingBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Feeling a little better - popping out in a minute to catch up with friends over coffee and croissants after a dip in the hot tub - bright and crisp but snow on the ground here so should be a bit of a Scandinavian experience :rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

How is your decluttering going?
I have done a few more (copied from my thread, sorry):
12. DD's old Brownie uniform sold to a friend - £7.50.
13. A few of DD's clothes that no longer fit - to charity shop
14. A few pairs of my trousers that I no longer need - to charity
Should also be rid of the tumble dryer in the next few days.
If you are not doing the decluttering let me know and I won't post on your thread again as it is just cluttering it up:rotfl:0 -
