Hadn't realised it had been so long since I posted on here..........have been MSE beavering in the background - PADs,saving pots, surveys, etc etc but not recording it here as just too busy!
All planned Christmas social events now completed so just a few tidy up jobs to be done, bit of food shopping,collection/delivery of online purchases and work is already a distant memory.............:)
Already thinking about 2015......we will be definitely be making a new and large purchase and our mortgage will be paid up and finished:j I will jot down later my plans for 2015 and post here in due course.
In the meantime I will still be PADing - even on Christmas Day - and already have a very shiny £2 coin to kickstart my new 'collection' for next year:DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I have a to do list as long as my arm  I hadnt realised I had got behind on fiddly jobs. Just having a few mins on here before I set to
I plan to count out all my saving pots tonight - all the rubble will be going towards food shopping for this and next week - hopefully. I will take great delight in putting it all in the slot at the check out - I will be going very early in the morning to avoid the scrabble for food that is 'not needed' My food list is short and sensible - shops open on B day after all!
Also plan to colour in some squares and do an early tot up re percentage paid off. Then its a few goals/plans/ ideas for next year.
DD1 will be home tomorrow for a few days. Havent seen her since August so much catching up to do:)
HM potatoes and leek soup cooking for tea at moment. A YS Chicken roasted for meal tomorrow - not sure what I will do with it yet.
Right time to get to grips with listBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I did break open the savings pots - well the picture 50ps, the dragon £1 and the £2 coin pots! I also have my 'roadkill' pot, 5p and 20p pots too:). Roadkill doesn't have much in it for this year - everyone holding on to their money and I will open this on 31st Dec - I recently emptied the others as they were full and used the rubble to pay towards a CC. I am completely mad I know but it all adds up and its money I would just spend along the way........:D Anyway I had £130 in £2 coins £62 in £1 ( only started part way through the year) and £48 in picture 50ps. I paid for the Christmas food shop in T*sco and the self zap till couldnt cope with me putting all those £2 coins in ...as I put the last one there was an error message on the screen saying 'card not recognised' - good job there was an employee standing next to me and saw I put all those coins in..........they had to empty the till and count out the coins but luckily I didn't have to process the full trolley again. Girl at CS desk said the machine 'didnt like some coins'.................! Then paid for Christmas meat at butchers with £1's who where glad of the change:T Whilst there I was surprised ( or maybe I shouldn't be) that the queue coming out of the Pand*ra shop was twice as long as the one from the butchers:(
So what is left from all the 'rubble pots' we will be living on as much as poss over next couple of week - dont need food other than perishables, and then I can start all over again - have done already actually Not only will I be collecting dragon £1 but I have started collecting the ones with flowers on too for this year. All that is left now is to set up some challenges for myself , continue with a few on here and get that envelope budget system running properly for 2015 as it was in fits and starts in 2014:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I have mentioned on here before that I opened a credit Union account at the beginning of the year. At the time I wasnt sure how or even why I would use it but I joined the weekly saving thread - basically put £1 into savings in week 1 £2 in week 2 etc etc right up to £52 in yes you have guess it in week 52 - or any combination really - some people started with with week 52............. and put away money every payday into the CU account. I now have £1376 squirrelled away which I found very easy to do. Not sure how I am going to use the money but there is a big purchase on the horizon so it may well come in handy. I am also going to continue with this challenge for 2015 but maybe mix up the weeks this time.
Time to colour in some more squares and do some calculations. Also need to return some items from Christmas purchases so a busy day aheadBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

The declutter will continue a pace in 2015 - I am getting very good at one in one out type of declutter - just bought some tea towels in N*xt sale as what we have are almost in shreds. So 6 in and 6 out - have put them in the textile recycling bag
Also bought some M&S bath towels and when they arrive same principle will apply - in the past I would easily have found 'another use' for them and old ones would stay in cupboard......
A rough add up on sale of unwanted clutter and I think I have made about 1k this year - Eb*y and local NCT sales and money raised through Oxf*m nect*r point scheme. Oxf*m will again be restocked in 2015 and I have already started my Fr**gle pass ons - large bag of packaging/bubble wrap waiting to be collected from a request on local Fr**gle. Not sure about Eb*y............its not the place it was. I am still to explore Z*pper and similar for books/CDs and DVDs and also local FB selling page. Anyway would like to think I could equal 1K in 2015:)
My decluttering methods vary - splurges,ad hoc, systematic, enthusiastic and I am also guilty of 'redistribution' - perils of living in a sprawling old house with hide-holes :rotfl: One of the diaries I follow has a good method ( sorry cant remember who it is now) They declutter 1 thing on 1st of month 2 on 2nd etc etc - dont think I am going to be disciplined enough for that but I am going to try to put at least 1 item for removal in allocated bag/box everyday so that will at least 7 a week - thats the plan anyway;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Have joined a little weight loss thread as I really need to get to grips with the weight - not joining any fat clubs - waste of money - it will be a DIY effort with the help, I hope, of the nice friendly folk who are singing up. 3 stone plus needs to go - doable in 12 months?? Will be putting away/paying off £1 for every 1lb lost too:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
