    Secured myself a little pay rise today:j Basically persuaded the powers that be that I should be paid/recognised for some work I have been doing - 'over and above' what I am contracted to. It took some doing and the Idiot in Charge finally saw the light and supported me . If truth be known its really what they should be doing and have foisted it on my shoulders so they were not in a position NOT to support me IYSWIM. Anyway a little bit of extra cash heading my way....whilst funding available I must add but it will all help :)

    Next pay day already seems a long way away! Had to pay up front for a few things ( money will be refunded ) but makes the cash flow a little difficult - however we wont starve and looking forward to the 'long holiday' in 2 weeks time :)

    This isnt good......can't sleep/switch off. Got a couple of niggly things to deal with this week. Once they are over with I will feel as if holidays have started :)

    My 7 weeks of summer starts................now:j Mad frogs packed off with instructions that will be ignored and we will be back to square one with some off them when they return to the safe predictable pond. All assistants duly plied with chocs and wine and flowers and thanked for their really hard work for b00ger all pay and even though its now holidays I will be back in work on Monday to do all those jobs that cannot be fitted into the normal working day but are expected to be done :eek:

    It also means I have 7 weeks to do the final push on the declutter because I have promised myself this will be the last holiday I spend doing this..............

    What a start to the holidays ..........WM packed up! OH onto it and repair is a couple of gizmos that come in for under a tenner but wont be up and running until about Wed. So when I am in work on Monday I will take the laundry and use machine there :)

    Havent been very diligent at colouring the squares in...........I have a grid which I colour in for each 0.25% I pay off. Why 0.25%? The grid fills up quicker and I feel as if I am doing something :p

    Last time was the end of May so I have just done a little add up and find I have paid another 4% off since then :) So that is now about 30% of the original figure I started with.............. I think along the way I have added some smaller debts to it if I were honest. Small debts that were languishing on CCs that I was just paying the minimum off and ignoring them:o so I BT'd them a few months ago.

    Anyway I am pleased with what I have done so far and I feel in control which is the most important thing and also have bought nothing other than absolute essentials since January.......feeling smug

    Just had a little catch up - Congratulations on securing a little pay rise a few weeks back, and you steady downwards shift on the debt.


    Feels great to be on school holidays doesn't it? I laughed out loud at your comment on wanting this to the last holidays period you spend decluttering.....I am exactly the same and never seem to get on top of it.

    Had a little splurge today....decided to bite the bullet and buy some festival tickets for me OH and DD2..............I have not spent money on anything since Jan except household essentials - OK we have some major house projects under way and we updated my car but these where on the cards anyway and partly saved/planned/budgeted for. We are not going on holiday this year so I thought a small treat wouldn't go amiss - DD2 will go with friends for the whole shabang but OH and I have a day ticket.:D
