I've got about 8lbs left to go - I got to my original target a couple of months ago then split from my husband, had a few rough weeks and managed to put about 5 lbs back on. So, I'm hoping to lose that and a few more lbs and keep it off for Xmas.

I'd love to have a 'diet buddy' to help keep me on the straight and narrow - what is Tesco diets all about? I've never tried that one.

    Hi WW
I noticed your diary and thought I'd pop in for a read - you're doing amazingly well, organising your Xmas money, planning your meals etc. I shall subscribe and follow if you don't mind, I could do with a role model to help me with my waistline (just ditched SW and trying to just be sensible!) and get a little bit organised.

    Hiya Annie!
I'm just a typical teacher - I love bossing people about even if it is myself with lists and plans!:rotfl:
I don't think SW is for everyone - it suits me because I'm a veggie and green days are easy and don't restrict me at all but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to the extra easy stuff, all seems a bit 'magical' to me and I'm a scientist!

I've made my lunch for tomorrow - jacket spud and beans to be warmed up quickly in the microwave and some fruit.
    Not exactly gourmet is it!?:D

Haha, my lunch for tomorrow is leftover brown rice, kidney beans, tomato and cucumber. I'm waiting for some money to clear into my grocery account, can you tell?!!

    Hello again!
I've not updated here for a few days because I've basically just been to work, done tea, walked the dog, done some more work and gone to bed since Tuesday! Life in the fast lane! My feet are killing me and I'm shattered!

I have however managed to take lunch to school every day apart from yesterday when I get a free lunch for being on duty at lunchtime, spent about a tenner in total, had all food from stores (no trips to the supermarket/shop) and not had the heating on - so no big extravagances!:rotfl:

Had to pay the quarterly phone bill yesterday (£60ish) but at least I won't see that again for a few months!

I have quite a few things to do this weekend - nothing very exciting really apart from my induction tomorrow for volunteering at the animal sanctuary - looking forward to that - it will get me out and about and meeting more people and animals! Wonder who I'll prefer?;)

So a little list of things to do to keep me focussed...
    • Clean house from top to bottom
    • Do a load of washing
    • Change bed
    • Do animal thing in the morning
    • School work (planning for next week and some extra stuff for the future)
    • Do the food shopping (budget of no more than £30, using a list and meal plan)
    • Mend a few pairs of trousers - hems all seem to have commited suicide:rotfl:
    • Bit of ironing
    • Bath the dog
First thing to do though is have a rest!

Just remembered a few more things to do...

    Dye hair (roots are shocking!)
    Touch up paint in hallway
Give wood floor a good clean with special stuff

Right the soaps have started - I'm off!

    Hi WW

Tesco diets is just an online version of dieting... I joined via quidco and got cashback of course but decided to give myself a year to lose the required weight. Apparently if I get to 30 BMI and write one of their success stories I get free life membership and may get featured in magazines... I had lost 2.5 stone but just before my H operation (end July) I started putting the weight back on - and because I've been allowed to do very little for the last 6 weeks - so I am now back to only having lost 1 stone... better than nothing tho and hopefully once my exercise picks back up I will start shifting the weight...

  • Saving Holmes - hope you're all better now after the op and I'm sure the weight will start toshift now if you're back on your feet.
Mine has stayed the same this week I think - I thought it may be a little loss with going back to work and being in a routine but alas no!

Been to Mr T's for the weekly shop that came to £30.49p - 49p over budget. Food is a shocking price now - I was talking to a little old lady and she said that she's really struggling to make ends meet and has to eat what she can afford not what she should eat - awful isn't it?
From my £30, £7 was for dog food alone! If only I could put the dog on an economy drive! I don't want to feed him rubbish though as he's getting on a bit now and needs nutritious food to keep him healthy. Oh well, I'll have to cut back on my extravagances instead if it comes to it.

Lots of cleaning and sorting out to do today but it can wait until the rugby has finished - come on Argentina (they're winning at the moment!)
Need to dye my hair later too - roots are getting decidedly stripey!

I've already walked the dog, done the shopping, touched up the paint in the hallway (few scuffs) and renewed the library books online avoiding a fine and ordered a few more.

May report back later with my progress!
  • I keep telling the Hovel dog to get a job to pay towards his expensive food but he refuses :rotfl:

I agree - the price of food is getting ridiculous. I really worry how people are affording to feed themselves particulary if they don't have access to good/cheap shops or markets.
    Sorry *getting off soapbox*

Hope you sort out your "badger" hair
    xx

The dog knows the local area so well surely he could do a paper round?:rotfl:
He's only little though so would have to make several trips - maybe I should trade him in for a husky to pull me to work saving on petrol?;)

Been for a big walk along the canal - flipping eck its windy!!! I have a new windswept and interesting look:eek:

The house is now gleaming and the cupboards are full, washing is done, the dog is sleeping and tea is planned so I'm at a bit of a loss for something to do that's not work - its Saturday and I should have a day off!
I need to do the back lawn but its so windy I really can't face it.

I may do the mending hems etc and sort out work clothes for next week before tea - I suppose that its something productive - I'm useless at doing nothing!:o
