i also need to hit the hair dye, can't go to the outlaws with my hair looking like it does, i've been putting it off for weeks as i really hate doing it. Glad you're enjoying having your house back to yourself again.0
-
Well I still haven't dyed my hair - may as well leave it until the weekend now.:o
Had a letter from the court saying exOH has been sent the divorce docs and he's emailed me to say he's received them and is sending them back today - so hopefully things will move along now.
Its been a bonkers week so far at work - 14 hour days (if you count the work at home in the evenings and the early starts). I've been observed by senior management (went well thankfully) had endless meetings and millions of jobs to do as well as teaching:mad:
At least it will get back to normal for the rest of the week...
I'm on strike next Weds - not very right on but at least its a day off!
Will lose a days pays though - boo!
Not planning much for this weekend, just a rest and catching up on household things. And probably hours and hours of school work..........0 -
Another horrendously busy day!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better - its Friday at least?
Had a LSD - just under a fiver and managed to resist buying a bottle of wine to help me relax tonight, but I have opened an Xmas packet of Pringles - better than the money spent on wine I suppose as they were only a quid.
A £10 gift card for Mr T arrived in the post today from the survey site - I'm going to use it on the weekend for the groceries - hopefully I'll actually spend less than a tenner in cash then.
I haven't written a meal plan and shopping list yet - haven't had the time or inclination but I must do that tomorrow evening or risk spending tons again on stuff I don't need.
That's been the only highlight of the day - exciting my life isn't it!0 -
Its Friday!!!!:j:j:j
What a bonkers week - glad to see the end of it.
I did cave in tonight and get chippy chips and a bottle of wine for tea:beer:
A flop on the sofa and the soaps is the order of the night - will report in tomorrow with more constructive pontifications!0 -
Hi WW,
Just catching up on your diary and was wondering which survey site you got the £10 Tesco voucher from ? Maybe it's one I don't do and you could refer me if its a decent one?
I've had a chippy tea tonight after a long week too. Have a good, relaxing weekend !#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Hi WW - its been a bit of a manic week for me. Sorry I've not caught up sooner. Your days sound very long!! I bet you will be glad of the break Wednesday. Boo to the loss in pay but at least these days you can cope with that.
Glad your ex is being so reasonable. Must have still felt like a big deal tho.
You're doing amazingly well at sticking to the budget.... I still would get a room for improvement grade I'm afraid, although I don't know for sure as having been able to find my pin sentry device all week as we've had our floors done and boxed a load of things up and I have no idea where it is!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Linz,
Its Valued OPinions - I don't think they're particularly good (no better than others) it seems to take ages for you to build up enough for a voucher.
Once I start though and get to a fiver its like a battle of wills to get to £10 to justify the time and effort.
SH - at least if you can't find the pin thingy you can't spend? Pain in the bum though.
Had a busy morning so far - the dog's been for his haircut (£27 but badly needed) and now looks like a startled cloud! I've cleaned the whole house, done a load of washing and done the grocery shopping at Mr T using the £10 giftcard - it only came to £12 in cash after the card so not too bad and I've managed to get some nice fresh stuff to try to rectify the rubbish food I've been eating this week through lack of time and energy.
On the positive side, I've finished November's Grocery Challenge at £113 from a £150 budget:beer:
Not a lot planned for the weekend - schoolwork as always and a bit of a relax. Its cold and damp outside here and not very encouraging to do much in the way of excursions.
I might go swimming tomorrow - could do with the exercise and the destress - swimming always makes me switch off and clear my mind - have been sleeping poorly lately due to over work and probably the divorce thing although I'm not consciously bothered by it, perhaps its subconsciously on my mind?
Anyway, I'm off to update the grocery spends etc and have a general faff about before taking the dog out again to show off his new do!0 -

Done a meal plan for the week to force me into being better with food this week....
Breakfasts - homemade oat flapjacks
Lunches - wholemeal rolls or wraps with either cheese, egg or tuna and salad and fruit (grapes and satsumas or stewed apple) and something from the Graze box
Dinners
Sun - chickpea and veggie curry with naan bread
Mon - chickpea and veggie curry with rice (late meeting on monday so easily warmed up tea)
Tues - quorn meatballs and spaghetti (with extra onion and pepper)
Weds - LM sausages, potato croquettes, peas and mixed veg
Thurs - mexican bake (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, red onion, cheese etc)
Fri - meatfree kiev and homemade wedges with beans
Lets see if I can stick to it!0 -
