It may be old Valli, but who knew there were people out there scouring eBay for ancient matchboxes. Would you like to come and inspect my house to see whether anything in consider to be unwanted tat might actually be valuable?0

Afternoon all, really can't get started today (yeah ok I know I'm like that most days
). Went out last night it was totally unplanned I just noticed on fb that an old school friend was coming down for the weekend so we arranged to meet up. So I gathered up some other old school friends, it was a great evening. I stayed later than I expected but it was a cheap night for me :money: as I'm on meds I wasn't drinking :A so everyone else brought my cokes and I gave them a lift home.
Some how though I woke up with a heavy head
DD1 dropped at boyfriends, they're out with his family for the day. DD2 and her friend dropped at drumming club, they're meeting up with her dad after to watch the boat racing. I opped out and have come home to do the house . . . maybe

News flash - the wardrobe clothes have been sorted. I have 1 bin bag for CS, 1 for washing and 1 for bin. Clothes are now in size order, range from 12-22
I tried throwing all big stuff away when I last lost weight but have ended up with nearly nothing to wear. DH clothes sorted too.
Oven has been pulled out and sides/ floor cleaned.
Master Bedroom dusted.
Airing cupboard emptied0 -

I am beginning to develop an eye for this - I had a tin I bought for 50p which I later sold for about £15, an old (50s) pinny that went for over £20...
I'd LOVE to come and root through your stuff.
I always list old stuff as Vintage, if I can link it to a placename that helps - after that it's just luck really!
If in doubt try it on a 99p free listing - then if it doesn't sell it's cost nothing! I did start my matches off at £4.99 because that's about what I guessed they were worth! They were actually wax vestas! (Vesta is an old name for a match)
I'm going to CLOSE the windows - I'm sitting in a draught and my left side is slowly seizing up!
Just updated my e bay spreadsheet (because some stuff I'm selling for BiL has sold and I like to keep good records)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Over half way through preparing the car boot stuff now but I'm bored of it now and slowing down. Think I'll have a break for HH and then have another burst. At least the sun has come out now.
Kids are decluttering the garden of snails now the rain has stopped. 5p per slug in the pot of salt water is the deal.:D:DThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Valli that was a brilliant thread you found - couldn't resist adding my twopenn'orth!:rotfl:
Bonnie_bumpkins here's a pic of Ted when he stayed last August - he doesn't look any different now.;) Luckily, being coarse-haired, he doesn't really go all "bouffant" after his bath.:D

Mr LW cooked us egg'n'chips for dins.:A Just as well, because I barely had the energy to eat, let alone to cook first!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
To be honest Valli I CBA to do eBay. Work takes up quite enough time... Even freegle is too much like hard work! However, I decluttered most of the junk from here and my parents' place a few years ago doing car boot sales (have fun Dusty
) so I don't really have much that can't go to the recycling centre.
Having exhausted myself chopping and stacking logs, I have achieved nothing this afternoon (apart from repacking a small cabinet that lives on the landing and moving it back out there). The cleaner has just texted to say she will be coming on Monday instead of Wednesday so I need to do more tidying today and tomorrow so she can clean properly! It is improving slowly... But throwing out the dead flowers will make a difference.
Loo seat fixing seems to have come unstuck again, so I need to let the bathroom people know and get it replaced... It has only been there for a week and a half!0
