Dying fleas often bite the nearest warm thing.. they often get Squeak after I have deflead this hairy lot.. due to her harrassing the cats and scrabbling on the floor... they think OH is tasty too. Mostly it stops after 24 hours or so.

Kids are decluttering the garden of snails now the rain has stopped. 5p per slug in the pot of salt water is the deal.:D:D

Great idea. Unfortunately my two can't cope with slugs, snails and worms, so I'd have to do it myself, as they don't bother me. :( Maybe the kids would pay me...

I also have several kgs of very ripe plums falling off the tree, little room in the freezer and very little sugar for jamming. £5.22 left of my grocery budget and I refuse to go over!

Going to be fighting DH who likes dark wood, fuss and detail, and has just taken up wood carving.

Plums - my nan used to preserve them in jars. I'm not sure about the size, something like 1/2 pint or pint jars, and I also can't remember if she skinned them first. They made a lovely dessert in autumn/winter (cinnamon was involved, I think). I can also get you a recipe for a German type of jam which used a lot less sugar (but more time). You could google 'Pflaumenmus' if you want to get an idea, but I also have my own recipes.

I'm with greenbee on the kitchen. Fussy carvings can be lovely, but such a pain to keep clean. My next cupboard doors will be chosen even more with that in mind.

Going to update my list now and make a cuppa. x

Forgot to say: Sending you some spare spoons, LW, and dancemum - you seem to have your mojo back.

fly - WIP, started and continued
    research home insurance
    find the missing library book
    DVLA form
form regarding permissible work for OH
    call at charity shop
laundry (some stuff to finish drying inside and leaving last lot for tmw)
    set up diary/calendar
    tidy wardrobe
    de-flea cat
    school to-do list
    [STRIKE]Mr M's[/STRIKE]
do something about the parking fine

Oh dear, I haven't made much of an impact. I have done some more decluttering in the LR, though. Will do some admin now before meeting OH in the pub later, if DS1 is around to babysit.

I do feel a bit better.

I have been delegating too. DH has hoovered throughout the house and cleaned the bathroom floor. DS1 was given a carrier bag and instructions to pick up the twigs from the path around the shed. DS
2 filled up the toilet roll spike in the bathroom. :T

    Hello all

I am slowly getting back into flying...today mil had L and dh cleaned the lounge thoroughly whilst I cleaned L's room and vac packed (poundland bags are fab!) his 3-6 and 6-9 clothes which have been sitting around for months! I've also been foraging (read on in laws drive and behind the church opposite us) and have made 7 jars of blackberry/blackberry and apple jam and also hm bread. yum.

serious economy drive here, next to nothing left in the grocery budget this month so some creative meals are in order!

Really came on as I thought of soappie - not sure if she's around but she'll be very sad over the loss of the red arrow pilot :(

Rach nice to see you posting.

Nothing constructive to add. DH is out and I've had a really good chat with DD1 sharing a bottle of wine so I'm not really fit for sensible comments. Didn't see the car today. The seller was an arsenal fan and they lost today so he went to drown his sorrows in the pub. Funny as DH is out with one of th arsenal staff on the sherberts. Must get ebaying tomnorrow while it is a free listing weekend. Nag me please. See you all in the morning.

DD2 should be back tomorrow... thank goodness.. Polly-mog is pining! I MUST MUST MUST get the second curtain sewn up and get them hung before she gets back.. to save her privacy from the students next door!

Ooh.. students next door... one of them asked if his music was disturbing us yesterday afternoon.. I said not at all but thank you for asking, and I dont mind during the day so long as you are not all shouting and swearing it is fine but if you would be so kind as to keep any music etc at a minimum after about 8pm I would appreciate it as that is when the baby goes to bed and the small girls should al be asleep by then.. he was a very polite student.. wonders will never cease! So anyway.. we shall see where our short conversation gets us this academic year!

    Morning Kaz, morning all,

I didnt get on yesterday as i was sooo busy.

We went out to buy some bedding plants and a new bathroom cabinet.

After getting home, we planted the plants, tidied the borders, DH built the cabinet. We decanted everything from the old one and binned a lot.
I also hoovered all downstairs, mopped the kitchen and lounge (long overdue)
    Changed our bed.
    Ironed.

I am off to iron again now, then go to MrTs to do a shop and plastic recycyling.
Then home to attack the spare room, and put everything away in our room.

Charity bag ready to go tomorrow.
DH is out all day at a charity cycling event. I'm hoping to fit a nap in too.

Happy Sunday, catch you all later

Im off for a HHC, need to batter through my list as ive been LAZY this week, still want to sleep the clock round though so really am considering maternity leave 1st October especially as work have given me an informal warning about my absence yesterday, but it was more a meeting for them to actually fully understand the ins/outs of my back issues and how it affects me which im glad my new manager took the incentive to do as at least now he knows how important it is for my chair not to be ajusted and for me to get up and have a wander about when i need to.
