Yes Bonnie - same thing at DS's school. One girl came out with all U grades so I doubt she will have been offered an extra year, unles there were mitigating circumstances.

posted a birthday card and lovefilm

    Afternoon all

Mainly laundry so far today as the weather is much brighter.

Valli there are a few each year at our school who redo year12. I'm glad they are letting him. My tips would be don't take too many subjects and ensure that support is given in how to do the exams. Some subjects need very different skills from gcse.

Off to try to buy school shoes now àaaaah:eek:

  • Morning! Once I went to sleep, figuring that if ex was going to stay, then there really wasn't any point in my losing any more sleep than I lost with the riots, I stayed asleep.

Daresay the imbecile BIL is snoring in a heap somewhere. Hopefully a police cell, but I doubt it somehow. He seems to be untouchable for some reason.

None of this is ever my doing - I don't have enough contact with my family to have problems, and they aren't the type to do that kind of thing anyway. All I want to do is get on and play music and stuff the lot of them. Child, cats, music. That's my life.

DD1 called because she wants something. Money for her passport. Plus my copy of her birth certificate, as her father is refusing to give her his. Claims he can't find it. I shall be directing her to the Registry Office half a mile away so she can get her own copy.

She claims to have got one C at A2 and two !!! at C. If it's true, not bad on a 38% attendance record.

Nothing else to do, now Minion has been forced to pack for her weekend with KH.

But the £1000 in garden vouchers I won came today :j

Off fishing tomorrow before first sparrerfart, so will have to spend some of them another day.

Time seems to be on fast forward today and everything I do is in slow motion. :o

Glad you have already talked about solutions, valli. Keeping my fingers crossed that he gets there 2nd time round. My DS is adamant that he doesn't want to go back to college and is going to work instead, if possible in an apprenticeship. Unfortunately he seems to think that work will find him!

Jojo - what a nightmare. Well done on dealing with it in your own inimitable fashion, though.

Going to hunt for yesterday's list now.

fly - WIP, started and continued
    research home insurance
    find the missing library book
    DVLA form
form regarding permissible work for OH
    call at charity shop
[STRIKE]make appointment for OH with bank [/STRIKE]
laundry (1 needs to go out, 2 more waiting)
    DW
    [STRIKE]put old housephone on freegle[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]get concert ticket (!!!!!! Gaughan) for December[/STRIKE]

HHC from 13.45 if anyone wants to join me! I'm going to get dressed (DS1's friend has arrived ) so I can get the washing out and put more in. It's sunny today! Then I shall alternate between bathroom, living room and kitchen, I think. OH has gone into town 'for something to do'.

Forgot to say, DS2 has decluttered a tooth and the tooth fairy £1. He's now happily playing on the DS and singing along to Linkin Park's 'What I've done'.

Dusty - those issues were what I brought up in the meeting. He would be monitored more closely, with regular meetings where he would take his files/work, she will check on his organisisation, focus on study skils and essay writing etc. There's also the opportunity to get his exam papers back and go through them.

I'm half way through making beds and luch (hm fridge bottom soup with a good handful of pearl barley, which I'm not keen on but the Vallikids love - it's cheap, too)

HHC started and finished a bit late, but: I'm dressed, the towels are out on the line and WM on with DS1's bedding. I put some clean and dry towels away and emptied/reloaded the DW. First mission accomplished.

More decluttering in the living room now and I'll find DS2 some food. Will start another HHC at 14.45. :D

Yay got both pairs of shoes. Took a lot of trying on and cost a lot of cash but hopefully it is done. I need to get DS2 new orthotics though - should have been more organised with this and of course the referral has run out so orthotics dept will not make appointment even though they know letter will arrive so have now rang the GP surgery to get them to do the letter, I'll give it a week and then ring again.

Going to do 15 minutes of jobs in the garden and then an hour of flying to try to finish the kitchen.
