No you're right. They most likely withdrew the offer because Mr Flibble told them to

But they don't have to prove it do they! Jeez.

Frankly why anyone would employ you if you are anywhere near this pedantic and bloody minded in real life is beyond me. You need to take a long hard look at yourself pal.

There are only so many jobs to go round. I don't suppose it matters much whether it's you being unemployed or someone else. In fact given that you don't appear to be very reliable in that youv'e been dismissed, better that the other guy gets the job.

Au contraire, they said as much in their letter to you didn't they.

Anyway, give it up !!!!!!, you've got about as much chance of getting compensation out of your ex-employer as you have of coming 1st in a poll entitled 'the person you'd most like to be stranded on a desert island with'

usually they dont ask about disciplinary issues - why would they? and if so im fine.

the bottom line is if none of this stuff was ever disclosed, or confirmed offically, as it should not have been, id be at work now.
  • So, how do you find out if there are things on your ex employer's files about you that you are currently unaware of? What makes you believe there ARE things? Can't you just ask to see your file, or do you become unentitled to see your file once you've left a company?

i could do, but then wouldnt i be liable for lying if asked questions about them and saying i knew nothing about them?

because in the withdrawal letter it says:

In our meeting you acknowledged that when you applied for the post you were at the time subject to a formal disciplinary warning as a result of a behaviour incident during the time you were employed by your previous employer. The incident in question took place at a staff leaving event. I asked you whether you had appealed against this warning and you said that you had not.

It has been confirmed to us that there were other disciplinary incidents involving or related to allegations made by colleagues complaining about your behaviour, including one matter pending when you left employment

so it means there were others beyond the one i confirmed to them, and the one i didnt.

and there were no other official issues, so im wondering where they got their info from as 'confirmed' - it must be on file! but i was never told about that.
