who knows! clearly ive had disputes with people down the years, as often happens at work, over silly things like cups of tea which were resolved very quickly.

I'm not sure how many cups of tea I had during my 18 year working life, but not one resulted in a dispute, never mind "often".

Given your obnoxious attitude and ability to wind people up on here, I can sort of see why it would be a regular even in your life though.

She's probably just a normal person who gets on well with other people. You obviously don't. You sound like a nightmare to work with. I hope you don't come to my place of work where nobody ever argues.. we just do the job, laugh and joke and respect each other.

Yes, I was Head of Department. Really insignificant.

What a horrible thing to say. I'm a PA and team co-ordinator for our group and I've managed to never have a disciplinary or fall-out with a colleague in 20 years. It is possible to be a significant team member but just know how to behave with work colleagues.

im not saying that it isnt possible for individuals to avoid issues but ive seen backstabbing and collusion and vicious behaviour in every office ive ever worked in - dont say you havent either because i wont believe you.

yes people leave jobs because of politics - my department got a new head who did everything he could to undermine me, and he succeeded to the fullest. albeit with me doing myself no favours, but even then under provocation.
