Yes miss, will see what I can do this afternoon!

Ooh Toy Story 3...haven't watched it yet, though have the DVD...sons didn't fancy watching it with me when I got it a few months ago (well, they are 18 and 21!).

Can't seem to stitch and watch tv though, reserve tv for my knitting :D

Now must get that bread started...I need to make four loaves today. Then perhaps I'll get started on some carrot cake, seem to have a glutt of going-over carrots atm, have made soup, so now cake here I come! :rotfl:Then perhaps I will get some stitching done!

Have a good day everyone x

Can't remember if I posted this or not. Sorry if I already have. As there was some talk about afghans, I thought I'd add the pic of the one I stitched. She wanted to be able to hang it on the wall, so I hemmed the top & fringed the rest (no sewing machine & not very good at sewing, but I did it!)

I bought the fabric at a stitch show & the charts were from a chart book that my friend chose. I wasn't a big fan of the designs to be honest, but it wasn't too bad to stitch. I have another 2 blank afghans in my stash. I wanted to stitch some Margaret Sherry cats on one and maybe some Christmassy designs on the other.

Have changed my browser to Google Chrome & hopefully it'll stop the MSE forum crashing my PC constantly. Have been reading all the posts, but it's tricky to reply on the ipod. Will catch up when I have time. Need a quick bath, then off into London to see a close up magic show later.

:T that's fab!! (any chance of a ;). I've never seen Meg n mog in any craft before... Where did u find it?

It was in Cross Stitch Crazy October 2007 (issue 103). I'm sure there's another chart in another issue, which I should have somewhere, but can't remember what number-or even year!-it was.

Edited to add, the other chart is here for £3... http://shopping.originpublishing.com/chart.asp?id=922&category=3

  • Thank you all for your kind wishes :o. The prep is going as expected and is awful, you'd think I would be used to it as it is my 3rd one of this test, but I guess somethings you never get used to.

Saying that though it has given me a good excuse to sit and stitch (like I need an excuse :rotfl:) and I am busy stitching the tree bit of "on the beach".
Stitching really does take my mind of everything.

Hope you are all having a stitchy day

Augustsmummy. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

I got some good stitching time in this afternoon. Done lots of fiddly areas that were between 1 & 15 stitches in size. I don't like little areas like that but once stitched they bring the design together.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Haven't had much to do today so spent the day working out my poem and started stitching this evening and have done half the poem tonight and will probably stitch the other half whilst ds2 has his nap tomorrow. Then just a bit of decoration round the outside, because I want it to be quite plain, will explain why its so important to me when I post piccies

23rd, thanks its not really that big and now the 2 biggest are at school all day and baby sleeps for 2 hours during the day I seem to have a lot of time on my hands lol
