  • Hello,
I have managed some stitching time today, mainly due to the fact that it takes my mind off things. I am due a not very nice test at the hospital on Thursday and have to take prep tomorrow for it :(. It has left me feeling really down if I am honest.
So I have concerntrated on stitching this afternoon and managed a good amount of the tree, so at least thats something.

DH has agreed to think about the cabinet :) so if it stays at the current price I may be a proud new owner...

Well off to continue stitching, that November deadline is fast approaching! Will post pics once it starts to resemble anything like what it should.

Hope you all have a lovely evening

augustsmummy - hope you're ok and everything goes well on Thursday. Stitching always takes my mind off things as well, enjoy your evening stitching.

Louise - you're always so fast!! and looks great as usual. I wish I'd started something like that, but I wouldn't get it finished in time for christmas now!

Hubby bought me a cross stitch magazine today, but I haven't seen which one yet, so I've got that to flick through later this evening. I'm hoping it'll have some Christmas card designs as I want to do something Christmassy that I can actually get finished :)

  • Thanks KatyLiz, you would think by now I would be used to all these tests, but each one I end up dreading.
I guess by this time Thursday I will be back home and tucked up in bed, and wondering why I was so worried lol.

Just waiting for DH to return with tea, didn't feel much like cooking tonight, although not sure curry is the best idea at this time of night!
I think I am going to have to give in and put the heating on, my fingers are freezing, and I sew even slower when I am cold!
Right off to get the tree done... well thats the plan anyway,
Hope you're all having a lovely evening

hugs augustsmummy - hope all goes well.

I haven't managed any cross stitch in quite a few days because I have been spending my commutes to work reading instead. I can't decide what to read next though and cant make up mind about my next cross stitch project! I am so indecisive!

I keep looking at this but can't make up my mind. I like the little cat at the front but something about the design just doesn't seem to gel and its pricey too....

It is starting to get chilly here too. I refuse to put the heating on before November though, so we just freeze if it gets cold. Very MSE :money: of me, lol!

I've done about 20 stitches tonight, not great progress. I know after this week I'm going to struggle for stitching time. I start Uni on Monday  and face an hour and a half commute each way, and very long days.

Flat Eric I know what you mean, I like the window view and the cat at the front, but the cats looking through the window somehow look a bit lumpy and don't quite sit right.

  • Morning ladies and welcome Emily and Sheri :hello:

Love the afghans and your 12 days Louise.

Spent the whole of yesterday afternoon stitching Myrtle Cottage and i've completed all the cross stitching so now its down to the backstitching and french knots . Not too bad it's only 5" x 5" unlike Tenby Judellie which is coming on great btw.

Hope all goes well with your test August - will be thinking of you.

    Have a good day everyone
