I love the Winnie the Pooh picture posted above - I think Pooh and friends are my favourite to stitch - particularly Eeyore and Tigger. I've stitched the picture above but went wrong the first two times I stitched it but it was third time lucky :o

I've just started this so shall probably stitch this later although I'm also keen to start my bookworm bookmark. I will try to post a picture later. Its a design I have taken out of an early edition of Cross Stitch Card Shop / Cross Stitch Gift Shop but I don't know which! Its a fab design though and one which I have stitched before.

I use the variegated threads because it makes it quite unique :j

Blue Eyed Girl - Have you tried writing up your title and descriptions for your EBay listings ahead of time, saving them in Word and then copying and pasting them onto EBay as you go?
That's what I do. I can't say it's superfast - as there are still loads of other boxes needing to be filled in, but it does save quite a lot of time.
I spent a huge chunk of yesterday afternoon doing just that for the stuff I'm going to list this evening.
To be honest the thing I find takes an age is digging out some packaging to recycle, weighing the stuff and checking online how much things are going to cost to post. So any ideas to save time on that front would be most appreciated. I can't afford a postage scale!

Hi debtdalek - I'm always going to try and get organised and type the listings out, a few at a time, ready for when there are the free listing weekends but it just never seems to happen. But one of these days ....... there just always seems so many other things to do. As for the postal things, I picked up a leaflet at the PO with all the charges on and it seems as though most things have been covered for me. I have a set of digital kitchen scales and use those for my packages. I think HomeBargains (??????) had some in the other week for around the £7.00. Have always managed to work the postage out without any probs.

Louise - I thinnk you are being a bit hard on yourself about the Cinderella - maybe it's just that it's too detailed and too small. But if you aren't happy with it you aren't going to find the mojo to get it done. Maybe try backstitching that area and then see how you feel?

There isn't any backstitch, and I don't have the time or enthusiasm to make it up lol. I am halfway through a little angel piccy now which is really cute so am happy with stitching now :D

Here is the bookworm bookmark I mentioned about earlier. This is one I finished last year: -

I am going to stitch it again, possibly on plastic canvas using the thread colours you can see here:

This is one that I started but it ended up in the bin because the thread knotted and when I tried to untangle, it ripped the plastic canvas.... will be more careful next time.

So I haven't managed any stitching yet today...... been faffing doing bits here and there but not actually anything productive....

Was out for dinner last night which was very nice - visited a few pubs and was intrigued at how prices vary between them for drinks - a round costing anything from under a fiver to not much change from £7. We avoided the JDW chain pub for once but I missed the prices!!

Its always nice to go out but I must be getting boring or something because I always think about how the money could be better spent. (how my main course = a nice cross stitch kit instead :o) or how one meal out (for two) is the same cost as a whole week's food shop from the supermarket.

oh well. OH out at the moment but wonder when he comes back shortly whether he will be watching the grand prix meaning stitchy time for me.

Finally i'm sad at the news about Gary Speed. :(

Oh deary me have been to Harrogate stitchy show and have re-learnt how to do french knots (one of the best embroiderers in the country offered to show me!) then re-learnt how to knit and have started a pink scarf for dd, also made a fabric bauble and bought a new sewing machine:eek:. Have now got to make sure I use it as much as possible - and dd is really wanting to have a go at it and to try knitting too. Christmas is going to be very crafty!

Wow Dorastar! Glad you had a good time with your workshops but sorry we didn't meet up. I had some lovely wool to show you :) I bought a lovely pack of Sirdar escape which is a self patterning yarn and some sage green sirdar click. Both Dk both for me for jumpers :) Oh and some light bulbs, a frame, thread heaven, storage boxes, thread cards, some can can glitz wool- i haven't been to a show since before DS was born, nearlt 7 years so I had a splurge= my christmas boxes.
I found the layout of the place really confusing and I am shattered now I'm home- still time to finish doing the button band for my cardi though- will sew it up tomorrow night at sewing club I think

I know, am sorry I ended up so busy but there was a drop-in learn to knit place and the lady helping me was so patient I couldn't really say I had a better offer elsewhere - and it has got me started on something real so was worth carrying on with it - and they let me keep the wool and needles to encourgae me to carry on knitting! Came home and remembered how to cast on, so have casted on 36 stitches and done 10 rows already so quite pleased with myself - and have a few weeks worth to do before I need to ask someone how to cast off.

Ooh Dora, and thifty, sounds like u had a lovely time. Dora, who was the embroiderer?

I went to an Embroiders Guild meeting the other night, as a friends guest. Linda straw was the speaker - her work was stunning. Quilts / hangings with historical or literary scenes done in appliqu! or embroidered. Brilliant work.

Am still having trouble with soreness and pins and needles in my fingers so have managed to avoid stitching all weekend... So went shopping instead and got blue Aida for a project and a small piece of twinkly Aida to try in my pound land snow globe blanks.
