Have to admit it's not looking very clear Louise....is there any backstitching to do to clarify the edges. or is that it? So annoying when that happens.

Hope you can find something else to stitch that will calm you down.

Hope today improves for you Louise xxx

Lol, the rest of my day is fine - once I hoy that thing in the bin it will be perfect :rotfl:

No backstitching at all and I can't be bothered creating it myself, gonna go find something christmassy to do instead :D

Hope you are ok, and make a good recovery xxx

Thanks Louise, I'm getting there, just more slowly than I'd like. :o

I'm sure you will have one or two cross-stitch projects to choose from! :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a red triple aperture frame, might be nice to use them in that

    Not happy :(

Really wanted to do a Disney Princess pic after seeing one on here (I forget who posted it) so bought a chart from ebay

This is what the original design was:

And this is how it's looking. I had my doubts before I was halfway up the dress but decided to continue to the face and see how it looked then

Truthfully...how awful is that??? You need to be 10 feet away and squinting really hard to make out it's meant to be Cinderella

I'm binning it - waste of time and threads:mad::(

i can see it - would look naff lleft like that but agree with the above - a bit of backstitch and it'd like fine.

    silllll no stiching here sorrrrryyyyyy.

just gonnna be very naughty and let people know there is a 25% off voucher for h0bbycraft in the following papers today:
Daily Mail / Daily Express / Guardian / Daily Telegraph / Independent / i / Evening Standard / Daily Star / Daily Record

    318330_252467714808955_107035876018807_677977_2050901721_n.jpg * In-store purchases only, vouchers expire 4/12/11

must admit i am very tempted by price of paper + tram fare = (aound £5) so would have to be quite a big purchase to make the 25% off worth it.........
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Sorry it's so big! Still haven't got round to learning how to resize pics...

This is one of the kits that someone on here sent me and it's finally finished :D

  • :T:T Looks lovely Willow. Well done :T:T

Sorry chicky but I'm NOT being tempted by Hobbycraft discount offer as it would mean buying the paper and a 40 mile round trip in car so I too would have to have a big shop to warrant doing this. But thank you soooo much for pointing it out to us and hopefully it will come in useful for some of our ladies.

Spent most of the day listing some stuff on Ebay (7 items) - it takes me so long and I feel really traumatised after doing it I need a lie down. A gin and tonic would be nice whilst i catch up with strictly (sorry girls yes I am a fan) :o

Still haven't managed to make up the cross stitch coasters, well I did open the pack of one of them and I was looking for the instructions and couldn't find any. I take it I just cut aida to what I think is the exact size and stick it all together again.

Hope you all have a lovely relaxing weekend.

  • Willow - Love the Winnie the Pooh.

Louise - I thinnk you are being a bit hard on yourself about the Cinderella - maybe it's just that it's too detailed and too small. But if you aren't happy with it you aren't going to find the mojo to get it done. Maybe try backstitching that area and then see how you feel?

Blue Eyed Girl - Have you tried writing up your title and descriptions for your EBay listings ahead of time, saving them in Word and then copying and pasting them onto EBay as you go?
That's what I do. I can't say it's superfast - as there are still loads of other boxes needing to be filled in, but it does save quite a lot of time.
I spent a huge chunk of yesterday afternoon doing just that for the stuff I'm going to list this evening.
To be honest the thing I find takes an age is digging out some packaging to recycle, weighing the stuff and checking online how much things are going to cost to post. So any ideas to save time on that front would be most appreciated. I can't afford a postage scale!

I printed off a sheet of all the postage costs from the Royal Mail website, then I set myself up in the kitchen with my parcels, kitchen scales and a notebook. I've sold 65 items in the last month and didn't miscalculate the postage on anything.

Not done any stitching this week as I have been knitting loads of scarves for Christmas presents, and a couple of orders for a lady at work.

Having my op on Friday, so plenty of stitching time between now and Christmas :j:j:j

That sounds like a good idea- I'll try that today. Doesn't help though that my weights are good old fashioned pounds and ounces, so I also have to convert the weights to grammes!!
