    Lovely work everyone...love Czar nmm

Maroon sounds ok to me abatha. no reason why you have to stick to brown!! :D

Still no stitching, though I have done a bit of sewing and knitting...not much atm as I am recovering form an op I had on Tuesday...it's really knocked me for six, but getting there slowly.

Have a great Sunday everyone x

Oh and lots of Krenik gold so some of that wax stuff will be on my shopping list when I go to Knitting and Stitching show at Harrogate next week.Is anyone else going to Harrogate next weekend? I'm going on a minibus with my stitching group. I have ordered the tickets so I must double check I have put them in my bag or I will have a busful of unhappy ladies to contend with:)

So how do I curb my spending next week? I think I may get all of my unstarted kits out and photograph them with my phone so I can flick through them on the way there- should help a bit I think:rotfl:

My tip for curbing your spending is take your budget in cash, so you only spend what you have with you :money:

Sorry I have not been about much but I have been keeping an eye on you all from afar. Sending best wishes to all.

I have done a little work on little boy blue and done occasional work on my golden earth. Can't find camera to show update pictures - sorry. Have fallen in love with the latest Joan Elliott - Winter Goddess in Cross Stitch Collection - I have patterns for both the mother moon (which I might change slightly - not too keen on the bottom moons on face) and green goddess. Maybe when I win the lottery I will buy the material and threads (includes beads and kenrik), I will buy the materials for all 3 and maybe even buy the rose one. Here is what the winter one looks like in cross stitch collection.

Life plods on up here - things not changed much - still in the barrell of depression and hubby still not working.

Keep well everyone till next time.

  • OK I've been fairly ruthless, though I still have loads more, but a lot of those are very specific to SW USA!
I'm going to list all of these next time there is a free listing weekend. Meantime please feel free to shout - loudly I hope. Price suggestions would be very welcome too.

Me - I'm going and meeting up with friends and staying over in a hotel - pre-Christmas treat for all of us. Do you fancy meeting up over a brew? Just wondering where my tickets are now????

Hello again Sweetcarer, nice to see you again. Sending best and posative wishes for both you and hubby. If there's ever anything I or the cafe can do please do say. I also suffer from depression, and popping on here when i can, (keeping social but not stressful), really does help keep the black dog from biting my heals. xxx

oh, and i Love those designs you posted. they are so beautiful. i dont think i'd have the patience to stitch a HEAD, but maybe the green goddess or winter goddess would tempt me :)

I'm going :j Not sure which day yet as I was pleased to find the tickets are for any day I like - I did think that was a bit odd though - what if everyone goes on the same day! How do they know how many tickets to sell?!

Ooh how exciting! we are going on the Sunday, me and my bus full of grannies :D In fact I think only 3 of us aren't grannies and I am the youngest at 37:D My MIL is also coming on the bus, she is lovely but I would have company if we did meet for a cuppa. We could show each other all the lovely things we have weakened and bought.

As for only taking cash, I know exactly where the venue is and how close it is to a cash machine so I'm afraid that would not work. I think working out how old I would have to live to to be able to atitch my current atash may help to curb my desires.along with the photos but I'm definately not going and not buying anything, where's the fun in that:rotfl:

No stitchign done today as i have done a bit of scarf knitting using the flamemco type stuff which is growing very fast- looks good too. Hope my childminder will like her present;)

  • I have read back and caught up, lovely work everyone.

nmm - Czar looks amazing, I love tigers. Lovely idea to do the snooker balls as french knots. I tried doing a french knot for the first time yesterday - disaster!!

Louise -Touched my magic is coming along nicely.

I have spent the weekend stitching the London scene with the metallic threads that were free in WOCS. I will post a piccy later - those metallic threads were horrible to stitch with!

Ok now im pleading for peoples advice and thoughts. I have bought a baby afghan to stitch, I just cant decide on a pattern! I would love to hear some suggestions! The Afghan has 25, 6 inch (15cm) blocks and is 14 count.

I have looked at the sea babies and jungle babies pattern from stoney creek and im not really taken by them. I quite like the following ideas:
    - Nursery Rhymes (although not keen on the charles craft pattern that came with it)
-Mr Men and Little Miss (you can buy small kits - may work out quite expensive)
    -Winnie the Pooh

As the Afghan is huge I thought I might cut it down to make a crib sized blanket - not sure as i dont want to waste the left over fabric.

Sorry for the long post, im blaming my pregnancy brain for my indecisiveness!! :D

All thoughts welcomed and thanks in advance x
