Reconstruction will be at a later date. There's no family history of BC, all female members of my family lived to 80+
DH has been so wonderful throughout all of this, don't know how I would've coped without him. We were going to book our belated honeymoon for January after clinic on Wednesday but looks like it could be February now as still have to have a months radiotherapy after surgery.
At least I can look forward to a couple more weeks of stitching post-op :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have been thinking of you girl. You are so very brave and your DH is amazing. It is amazing how some people become when something happens. I looked after my late hubby for the last few years of his life 24/7 and people said to me I was amazing but I did it because I loved him not because it was something amazing to do. Enjoy your belated honeymoon and enjoy all the stitching you can do - just think of the patterns you can doI know this isn't cross stitch related but please share what you are having for tea tonight. I love Friday evenings but never feel like cooking. Open freezer, add chips to oven tray was not an option this evening because I have no oven chips left ! and I'm not meant to have them anyway because I'm supposed to be following SW! I've opted for jackets but would be interested to know what fellow posters enjoy on a Friday evening. I would opt for takeaway but we don't have any near us that are worth bothering with.
Another unrelated question (sorry) but I was in Mr T this morning (an express store). The person in front of me only scanned two items but bagged up three (the third item was bagged after they had paid). I didn't say anything - just watched in amazement.... I know it must go on but to see it happen in front of my eyes. Would you have said anything?? none of the checkouts were manned but there was someone stocking shelves near by. Rather interestingly, the shopper turned to ask the staff member a question which was answered. I think I would turn to jelly if I ever attempted something like that.
Friday nights I like to make a meal from scratch - this week it was shepards pie, some weeks its lasange or a nice chicken cassrole. Feel during the week I am always in such a rush to make dinner - so it is something quick like home made bolognaise from the freezer, or fish fingers.
What an awful thing to witness. Seen something similar happen - just don't know what to do. I know times are tough for me but I wouldn't do something like that.catwoman150 wrote: »I know that some of you frame your own cross stitch when you have finished them. Is it hard to do and how expensive is it to do????
I have done a few of my big ones myself - going to get round to doing floral alphabet - promise. Here is one I done before that I laced. Just make sure it is centered and pin before you start. Takes a bit of time but I feel its worth it. THink some framers glue and I worry about that for pieces that might last beyond my life time.
Well I have decided to get back into golden earth - lost camera at moment as to show you latest of little boy blue. Trying so hard to get back into my sewing as I have been still feeling rather down and very stressed and need something to help me - think I was a bit snappy with hubby and it is most unlike me.
Here is where I left off
Hope everyone is well - where ever you are.
Kind wishes

Hey
I'm pretty new to the forum, but I've been cross stitching for a few years, mainly christmas cards and little projects.
I'm looking for some help if at all possible, I want to do a relatively easy poppy cross stitch for my OH's nan, does anyone know where I would find a nice free pattern?0 -
right offf for a catch up but first here's one with a poppy in you could use just that bit of TCF http://www.cross-stitchers-club.com/Flower-clock?var_recherche=poppy and welcome to the forum.... do share your project pics.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

ahhh gooood not much chat going on.
Flat Eric - (know tis late but.....) fridays are normally chip shop on the way home but this week will be something out the freezer for me and prob a sandwich for toddlerwiggle as had chips on way home today. needed it after leaving essex at 11am and getting back to sheffield at 4pm (5 trains).
also pretty sure i have those magnet charts in my stash..... will try and look tomorrow.
re: beatrix potter birth sampler - unfortunatly these are always expensive it's the nature of the design. Found these charts at arts and designs (never used them myself) that look ok and between £5 and £6 which i don't think is too excessive. http://www.artsanddesigns.com/cgi-bin/makeGallery.pl?category=design&searchphrase=beatrix%20potter%20&st=anyloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. Hi ladies,
Not much to report as I have become a bit obsessed with knitting at the moment as I have a few scarves and a lovely wooly cardi on th go which need finishing. I'm off to the knitting and stitching show at the end of the month in Harrogate with my sewing and knitting group. Is anyone else off to it or already been to it in London? I plan to photograph everything in my stash before I go to curb my purchsing!
Happy stitching

where isssss everybody?????????????
As an avaid follower of "reality" programmes I was, i don't think shocked is the right word..... more disgusted to find that Duggen woman from (18/ 19 kids and counting is now pregnant with her 20th child. The oldest being 23 years the youngest 23month.
What do you think???
(linky to an article for anyone who has never heard of the show/ her)
Still no stitching here. **bad bad chicky mummy's pressie will NEVER be done for christmas**loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I have been knitting as well and not xstitching. Really want to finish the Wren and then take all the stuff I have finished to the framers before more knitting. But I have couple of smallish knitting projects to do first. So I have been lurking here and loved all the wonderful work everybody has done :T"Everything will be alright in the end. I haven't picked up my needle at all this week so far, no idea why but haven't been in the mood for it.
Could be the weather I guess, with it being so chilly I want to snuggle into my blanket rather than sit and stitch.
Must admit I went on ebay today, put in a cheeky bid and won a small (7x5) kit for under £4!
It was reward for starting exercising again today. Didn't do much but it was better than nothing:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Morning ladies
Things have been rather quiet here - hope everyone is ok.
Hellloooo and welcome twistedcandyfloss - look forward to seeing your pics.
Tracey and biker - hugs to you both.
Love your pics sweetcarer.
Can I ask Flat Eric/Chicky - do you mean fitness/exercise themes as I would love something I could do for a couple of my gym buddies (keyring or coaster type of thing) for christmas. Would be very grateful if you could point me in the right directionWow chicky - that family have rendered me speechless (almost)
Good for you shelly - I like your way of thinking - exercise = cross stitchy reward :j. I will have to remember that one,
WOCS arrived yesterday (the last of my 5 for £5). It still seems full of xmas stuff - getting a bit fed up with it all now. Will have to see what other offers are around.
Stitching a santa card downloaded for free from here,
Well take care everyone.
