Biker, hugs for you.
Are they doing a reconstruction at the same time? And if you've got a family history of breast cancer, have they discussed a bilateral mastectomy (doing both at the same time?) - possibly questions that you don't want to think about at the moment, but having gone through it, I know the sort of questions that I asked.
If you want to PM me, I'll be happy to answer any questions that you might have

Thanks nykied
Reconstruction will be at a later date. There's no family history of BC, all female members of my family lived to 80+
DH has been so wonderful throughout all of this, don't know how I would've coped without him. We were going to book our belated honeymoon for January after clinic on Wednesday but looks like it could be February now as still have to have a months radiotherapy after surgery.
At least I can look forward to a couple more weeks of stitching post-op :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Ruth_honey - sorry to hear that, thinking of you and your family, and hope you are feeling better soon xxx
No stitching for me today, got to empty the boys cupboard, having a clear out then going to clean the dust that's gathered on DD's toy kitchen and see if I can get something for it on gumtree - she only got it last Xmas, played with it for about a month then went back to her dolls *rolls eyes*Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hi All,
I used to cross stitch in the mid 90's when i was a teenager and really want to get back into it. Im hoping to be able to do a new baby cross stitch for a friend that is due in April. I have all the threads and aida but am struggling to find a nice pattern (perhaps beatrix potter). Ones online are really expensive and im only looking for the actual pattern. Any ideas? (I live in a small town with no craft shops so ideally I want to find something online)
Thanks0 -

Biker and Ruth - sorry to hear your news - sending you both hugs.
Well it was a long day out yesterday to get to the NEC but I got the gold and silver metallic promarkers and the fineline nibs I wanted for them. Prices did vary a lot from stall to stall but I think I got the best price that was there? £1.99 for the pens and £2.45 for 5 nibs.
Then I bought some lovely things to alter from the MDF man. A 12x12 piece of board for £2, a Wooden scrapbook £5, and two words - NOEL and HOME arranged in a square about 12 x 12 which were £4 each. I'd have bought more to make for pressies for next year but don't have the money. He had loads of lovely stuff including some great trays and money boxes.
On the Everythings a Pound stall, I got 7 different pads of paper, two sets of stamps, some brads, chipboard and mini butons. 12 items for £10.
Then I did three free workshops and made a handbag charm, a phone charm and a little cover for a mini box of after eights.
So nothing for cross stitching but I did see some beautiful kits. I wasn't overly impressed with the stuff in the Crafts for Christmas this year, but maybe that's just me.0 -

Sorry about that I followed the instructions at the beginning of this thread but was a bit concerned because the link wasn't "active". I notice some people include photos in their messages - how is that done?0 -
