Oh crikey...I thought it was just the head!! Okay, you're not nearly finished...roll on 2012 lol:rotfl:

It was your earlier comment of "Shelly - not much more to go!! It's amazing how life-like it looks" that made me wonder if I had posted the completed pic :D
And yeah, roll on 2012, I might get it done before 2013 :rotfl:

Shelley - I thought it was only the head. I don't envy you so much now although it will be stunning when it's finished.

Off to the NEC tomorrow, hoping not to spend too much money as I can't really afford it. I have been saving all year and have about £60 cash to take with me. I "need" to get some buttons, a couple of frames and see if I can get something called Opal Ribbon. Yes I know you've all heard my search for Opal Ribbon.

Hoping to do some make and take sessions so might post pictures tomorrow if anything is any good.

Off to finish the bag I'm taking with me now. I know it's a different thread (Sewing Room) but I decided to make a Christmas Nativty scene bag to take with me. Just need to turn the correct way and top stitch.

Cross Stitch Card Shop was on my mat when I got home from work tonight but its the last issue of my subscription and I want to renew.

I don't know which offer to go for. In the mag, its a free stuff bucket bag or xmas aperture cards - pricewise - direct debt £11.23 every three months or cheque/debit card £24.55 for 6 issues.

I've also found on the web a 3 issues for £3 deal but i don't think you get a free gift with this offer.

I also have the letter they sent me earlier in the year which gives a direct debit price of £10.49 every 3 issues or £23.94 for 6 by cheque/debit card.

This mentions I can have a free gift of a free loyalty bonus saver card (whatever this is?!)

I previously had a flyer to get some free cards (not xmas ones) and I would probably go for this if I could remember where I had put it ?!!
  • Have a good time tomorrow at NEC Ailsb and debtdalek. Any chance of a pic of your nativity bag Ailsb - sounds lovely :)

Hadn't realised tiger picture so big shelly - thought it was just his head. Are you doing it for yourself or is it a pressie????

Thanks for comments re fireman sam/fireman PaP and chicky. Liked the ones on 'unique cross stitch patterns' but i think they might be a bit big - was just thinking of card size but the bay one looks promising. :A

Oh nearly forgot - can you remember my Myrtle Cottage??? Well I delivered it to my sil last night for her birthday today and I got a message to say she loved it. :j:j Result :j:j

    Take care everyone.

    It's definately for me! :D
I have another Tiger kit in my stash that is just the head, maybe that's where the confusion has come from. I think i posted a pic of it when I first bought it.

  • Haven't been around much the last two weeks as I've been off work post op and have been frantically decluttering and ebaying.

Went to clinic yesterday for my pathology results and things are not good. Despite removing a 24mm tumour and 22 lymph nodes, there is still evidence of disease and I have to have a mastectomy :(

Totally shocked as I've been feeling so well, feeling a little numb still this morning after a very restless night.

Want to send big hug to Louises Mum who is in the same boat and to Tracey? who is starting her chemo soon. Don't forget to take your cross stitch with you when you go for treatment.

On a happier note, I've finished the lid for my DMC wooden box so will try and finish it off and post a photo later. I've stitched some more of my "legs" kit but can't stitch for too long at a time atm as my arm gets very stiff.

I've knitted a scarf kit that I bought at Ally Pally and am half way through a second. I might order the yarn for two more for DD and DSIL for Christmas as I can do them in two evenings and will have another 2-3 weeks off work after my 2nd op.

Everyone stitching is looking wonderful! Hope the NEC girls have a lovey time today :o
