I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

*sneaks in* I haven't done any stitching for two weeks! I've started work experience at Poundland and I'm way too tired to stitch when I come home. I did a teeny bit tonight though. I keep forgetting to take a pic and post it either on here or my blog.

  • Flower of Scotland - the link doesn't work for me and I'm really curious to see your Christmas Stocking (nearly typed just "really curious to see your stockings" and giggled to myself).

Flat Eric - well done on finishing your race, you should be really proud of yourself, more especially as you've not been running for that long.

I'm still plodding away with my Snowman Stocking - he is looking lovely, but I keep getting interrupted by stitching cards for birthdays and I need to stitch a card for a friend as it's her birthday on Sunday. I'll try and do something simple - I'm sure I've got a small back-stitched Winnie the Pooh design somewhere....

Have a good Monday everyone !

You've done really well. I think he's lovely.

Will update a photo of my tiger soon. Not a patch on this one though.

I have finally caught up with the thread (not with my stitching thou :o)

    Love, love, love that tiger!!

Also would be delighted with Gorjuss, especially ones with cute animals ;) pretty please?

Flat Eric - so well done for the running. I did Bupa 10k last year in May and was training for Cardiff half in October but got shin splints and that was the end of my running career. I have lost some weight now so feeling like starting again (if I could just get rid of this lurgy :()

And Louise - what everybody else have said :grouphug:

just sneaking in incase anyone doesn't get hobbycraft e-mails (shame on you).
Fab news! Hobbycraft is running a special event this Thursday, which means that on top of all their regular offers, you'll get an EXTRA 25% OFF*.

It takes place from 2pm on Thursday 3rd November 2011 only and you just need to print the coupon provided and bring it with you.

So if anyone wants a coupon you know what to do.
I'm gonna be MILESSS away from hobbycraft unfortunatly :-(
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Hi everyone
Just been catching up as didn't have any time to be on here over half term.
Apologies I should have written down the names of the people whose posts I was going to mention!

Theatre ticket pricing - I thought it was quite a good price for a theatre ticket. I'm a huge Strictly fan and I had an email recently for the tour next year where I live and I think it was £60 plus - no way. I actually said to my family, in case they thought I was dropping hints for a Christmas pressy, not to pay it because I thought it was way over the top.

Hobbycraft discount - I'm wondering if they are doing this on thursday to compete with the NEC? I know the autumn show doesn't have much stitching, but lots of crafters are into more than one craft. I know that's where I'll be on thursday anyway - even though it means being out the door by 6.30am and getting home around 9pm.

New to cross stitching (or an old hand) - my tip is to photocopy your chart - also an opportunity to make it a bit larger. Then mark off with a highlighter pen the stitches/areas you have completed. If you ever need to photocopy it again, bizarrely it reverts to an unmarked chart. Does that make sense? Essentially there must be something about highlighting pens that means they don't show on a photocopy.

Wonderful to see everyones progress - I still haven't managed to find the time to do any but I will. Maybe I should adapt the token idea from running to cross stitching. LOL
