    Thanks everyone xxx

Have picked the stitching up tonight but can't concentrate (made some shocking mistakes :o) so I think I will look out some stuff for coasters.

Got the whole family over for my eldest's birthday tomorrow evening (he is 12) and both parents have banned the use of the C-word and want us all to try and forget things for a while - 6 kids 12 and under should help with that! :)

Hey sorry I haven't posted recently but have still been lurking......wanted to send hugs to everyone especially Louise:grouphug:
Don't really know what else to say except that I hope everything turns out for the best xxxxxxxxxxx

well my house problem is still ongoing the insurance are refusing to pay for new carpets and are instead wanting to just wash them - am still sifting through my cross stitch mags but will use this as an opportunity to re-order ONLY the magazines I really want to own again - and am looking for a new printer which could also scan them onto my lappy in case of future disasters (i love how positive i am lmao):rotfl:
On a stitchy note I finished a UFO I've had on the go since last year

    <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/64233453@N04/6290941812/" title="001 by catchooky, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6214/6290941812_deeeebc36f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="001"></a>

Is a wee pic for my boyfriends best mate shes frog-crazy! SHe got promoted for secondment so thought this would be a nice wee present for her desk!

Also finished a stitch for my best friend (meant to be for the 8th august but was a bit behind) :o will post a pic when i transfer from my phone :)

Currently finishing off a UFO for my mum and dads xmas - a gorgeous collie (from DMC) who looks considerably more well behaved than my own lol! This had been one of my first attempts at stitching (and therefore UFO) cos of all the different shades of grey but decided to set myself wee challenges and save them on my phone to inspire me! Have listed all my kits and UFOs and some of my fave charts in a certain order and in varying degrees of difficulty.........
HOWEVER I see that in a mag next month (possibly Cross Stitch Crazy?) that there's a gorgeous black cat looking out a window........my mans parents have a black cat which is very poorly and I thought it would be nice if they had a stitch t make them think of it? Yay or nay? Would need to get a wriggle on lol!

Next on my list in addition to the cat is a 'you're a star' kit from cinnamon cat which is lovely but is colour coded instead of using symbols which, for someone who needs to photocopy my charts so i can colour them in, is a nightmare lol! Also, I can't seem to see the markings where the centre of the chart is? Will try this weekend and will call the company monday if I still have trouble. After that I had wanted to do a Samurai from dimensions for my bf and then another ufo - this time 'mickey salutes america'.

Have currently done a small part of one of Mickey's ears lol so a fair bit to go!

AND have a stitchy show tomorrow in Glasgow and am dragging my man so he can help me find bargains! He's been warned within an inch of hislife to not put his earphones in like he does if we're in a shop he's not interested in - I need help finding bargains! Will be issuing him with a list and pictures of what I'm looking for :rotfl:

wow sorry for the long post have you noticed I'm a waffler???!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Just to let you know I am thinking of you and yours Louise - I hope everything turns out for the better - so awful. They can send man to the moon but they can't sort out our health.

Would you pay circa £40 for a theatre ticket ? Phantom is coming to a theatre near me next year but tickets are expensive. I would like to see the show but don't know how the theatre can justify all but London prices when I am no where near London !!! The tickets are selling really well too ! I know this isn't cross stitch related but £40 would buy a nice kit or two ! I don't have the spare cash at the moment and certainly can't justify almost £50 on a theatre ticket...

Aww Louise , sorry to hear your parents are ill, I hope things improve for you all very soon (hugs). That advent calender is beautiful, no wonder you chose that.

I haven't managed much more of "Christmas on the beach". I think I have fallen out with it if I am honest. But I have to get it finished, as it is a gift that needs posting by the end of november and it is fast approaching!

I have however managed to start knitting a new scarf for DD. I made her one last year which she loves, but the new one will match her coat better. Going to pop it in her stocking as she asked for one for Christmas lol.

Flat Eric I have been known to spend a lot on tickets to shows, and I have never regretted it. The best by far was Rocky Horror. It had Jonathon Wilkes in suspenders :D need I say more :rotfl:. I would say go for it and have a fabulous night out!

Yes my OH has said he would get it for my xmas present but it still seems a lot of money for a ticket...

I'm sorely tempted. Where do you think would be the best place to sit ? The last few times I have been to the theatre, I have sat in the front row .... and thats where i am thinking of getting a ticket for. it was mentioned though that the circle ? is the best place to sit but these are the most expensive seats and have mostly sold out.
