Hi all! My friend does a "bit" of cross stitch in her spare time and is struggling with the tiny stitches even with glasses. i don't think she uses a frame - just stitches on her lap.
I thought it would be a good idea to get her a "hands free" magnifying glass for Christmas. Could anyone recommend a "reasonably" priced one? (We don't spend much over £10-£15 for each other)0 -
Tracey the snowman is gorgeous. What a gift to treasure. All the best for your treatment too.
Any gift that's handmade is so special isn't it? I always see it as a little love in every stitch.
Thanks for the links too marru and little monkey
Popped to H*bbycraft yesterday and picked up a few more little Christmas kits for cards. I'm finding them so relaxing to do.
Hope everyone is keeping warm. Getting chillier by the day.

Thanks Dizzy I can't believe that it's November next week - I don't know where the year has gone! I'm really lucky that I started the stocking back in April (I don't do much stitching during the Summer months I prefer to be out and about).Always be yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn - then always be a Unicorn !

**sneaks in**
i know its not cross stitch related but given some of you are mummies or teachers of littlies was wondering if anyone knows a nice toddler (but not tooo babyish i'd like it to last a few years) nativity story book for my toddlerwiggle. He's into his basic bible stories (noahs ark being a fav) so i thought it was a good year to start him off on the tradition (alongside the santa, night before christmas, cute stories of course).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
*sneaks in next to chickywiggle and whispers* my 2 like "The Nativity Play" The pictures are lovely, and it tells the tale of the nativity, from the angle of a school play. Not sure if thats the sort of thing you were thinking of?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nativity-Play-Nick-Butterworth/dp/0340398949 there is a link to it, but mine is red?! weird lol.
