  • Afternoon ladies :)

Had a peek at blackwork, it looks good, but I think I will stick to my already long list of craftstuff to do. I think DH would be a bit corss if I bought any more kits :rotfl: I still have 2 cross stitches on the go, and 6 waiting in my drawer to be started!
    Plus my card making.
Oh and my new love of making jewellry for party bags.

No wonder my little terrace is bursting at the seems!
Spent most of yesturday sorting out my cardmaking stuff. I found 5 packs of card blanks I had forgotten about :T so felt inspired to make a few.
So not a very stitchy day yesturday, but managed a little more today (have had more pain so went back to see my GP who advised me to tell my consultant when I next see him, so that was helpful :rotfl:)
Hoping to finish the deckchair this evening, pics to follow! Then might have a breif play on my cricut to prove to DH that I do use it :rotfl:.

Hope you're all having a lovely day

Mags- cat - regarding watse canvas, I have used it a few times and found it really easy to use. I have used it to do t-shirts for DD before, and they turned out really well. I have kept one of them (I will post pics in a bit) as it was so lovely on her.
My advise is to leave yourself a wide boarder, it makes it easy to pull the waste threads out. And make sure you remove the waste on a flat surface and pull gently to avoid snagging.
If you have any questions just ask :) I will do my best to give you tips. hth

  • Had a lovely day at Ally Pally on Saturday.
There weren't a huge amount of stands selling cross stitch but still managed to buy three kits.

and another one of a french cafe that I can't find atm (I'm at work!!)

Also bought two lots of yarn to make a couple of scarves.

Went to Covent Garden afterwards for a wander around and a lovely steak dinner.

It's my Birthday today so going to have an Indian tonight and maybe start one of my scarves.

    Hello,
I actually found 2 of the 3 t-shirts I did for DD using waste canvas in her memory box, so thought I would share

    cupcakewastec.jpg

I sowed these about 3 years ago, before I was particularly good at sewing. Before these I had only done about 4 kits.

It has reminded me that I started a finding nemo t-shirt for DD, which I have now hunted out, to find the t-shirt was for 2-3 years  that counts as a serious UFO! DD is now in 5-6. Oh well, I think I may unpick and stitch on one of DS's t-shirts now as he loves disney.

Whilst I had DH taking pics I thought I would post a little update

Not much progress but getting there slowly.
Off to stitch with my brew (DH has his good points ;) lol)

BTW - just a little note - sorry if anyone would like a ;) but I no longer have the charts used on the t-shirts. I got them from WOXS back in 2008 I think.

Thank you for the warm welcomes everyone, here is my stocking - as it's a snowman I decided to stitch it on Navy Aida and it really makes the colours stand out.

Love the kits you bought especially the Fair Lady, will be stunning when done.

Augustsmummy. Those t-shirts are cute! Nice progress on the beach scene and I hope you feel better soon.

Tracey. Love the stocking and I agree, the snowman looks great on the navy aida.
