  • Hi everyone.:hello: I haven't posted for ages but just wanted to let you all know about a website I came across at the weekend. http://www.thestitchstore.co.uk Everything seems to be half price and this includes DMC stranded cotton, light effects etc. e.g. light effects are 68p each, stranded cotton 32p. First class post only 2.50. I HAVE NO CONNECTION WITH THIS SITE - I have placed an order on Saturday which is marked as complete. Hopefully will arrive today so I will report back. I have never heard of this site before - has anyone? Anyone used them?

  • blackwork is medieval (from tudor period i think) ornate looking patterns just done in black thread it looks really difficult but its just basic stitches as someone said yesterday if you can cross and back stitch you can do it (catherine of aragon used to embroider all of henry VIII shirts with blackwork even after he dumped her for the boleyn trollop) guess who i think Henrys best wife was that he should have kept;):rotfl:.

Thank you for your very kind offer but I'll pass if you don't mind. I'd have to live to be about 200 years old to complete all the kits I have stashed and that's without the cardmaking, scrapbooking and jewellery making stuff!
Speaking of stash, what do you suggest for selling some on? Do you use EBay or is there anything on here? Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Forgot to say that I have a number now - two fat ladies!!! - 88
