just a quick post ....
have caught up briefly on recent posts - will do proper catch up at weekend :j
In answer to the cross stitch - how do you [STRIKE]eat [/STRIKE] stitch yours questions, I tend to stitch a row of half crosses going this way //////// then I go back the other way \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ and complete the stitch :j
If stitching with variegated thread then I tend to complete each stitch individually but when my brain goes to sleep and I am not paying attention then I find myself stitching the half crosses....
In reply to the post about Cross Stitcher, I haven't opened my kit yet but will now do so with interest!0 -
 Welcome to our merry little gang of stitchers dizzy lizzie. Love your ponies and giraffe.
In answer to the xstitch question earlier, I tend to go /////// and then \\\\\\\\ or if its a bit bity then I do whole stitches if that makes sense.

didnt manage any stitching last night. was too confused over it suposed to be a work day but that got changed last minute, so day chores ran into the evning. [and by worrying about the possible repocussions of OH's drunken shennanigans at the weekend. sigh.]

As i’ve been missing for a while i’ve got so much to catch up on so hello to all the newbies first! (OK, caught up now - typed this up on word as I went so I didn't forget stuff!).
Happy Birthday to Maria for yesterday.
My cupcake business has suddenly taken off to an amazing degree, the last few weeks have been so manic however, I am stitching again as I’ve been taking it to the craft and wedding fayres that i’ve been doing. Will have to post updates another day though. It's been a case of catch up on a page then do some work for 10 mins til I’m totally up to date with you all.
AM – sorry to hear about the tests - hope everything went well. It's soooo annoying when consultants cancel appointments isn't it? I've just had one cancelled which was marked by the consultant as DO NOT CANCEL!!!!
Had to laugh reading that some of us had been tempted putting on the heating (yes, i’ve had a lot to catch up on!) after this last weeks weather!
How’s Uni KatyLiz? Hope its going well.
BikerChick I’m so happy for you that the Chemo has finished. The fingernail thing sounds nasty. Any news on the surgery yet?
Chicky – your ‘holiday’ just confirms you must have the patience of a saint where MIL is involved – I think I may have lost it after all that! ...Pic of your little ones is very cute! You know I still can’t understand how you get the time to stitch, post, research stuff, do all the surveys and sort the house/family...well done!
23rd – I LOVE that cupcake. Any chance of a;)???
Nykied – Wow! The London Marathon!!! Well done you. Just thinking about it wears me out so much I need a sleep!
Nmm – amazing!
BEG – love the stitching. To answer your question about the 5 for £5 subscriptions I cancel my direct debit as soon as the £5 has come out – it doesn’t stop you getting all 5 copies and you don’t need to ring them.
Off to drop cakes and made stuff off at craft club but unfortunately no time to stay there todayxx

Thanks ejs - sorted. Had to phone them as I couldn't find where to cancel on onlinebut they were fine. Good luck with your cupcake business. :T
Hope you have a great time on Saturday bikerchick and get loads and loads of stitchy stuff. Good to hear you are feeling better now chemo is over. It will be a new hairstyle before you know it .
Thanks for your pms Mags and Ailsb - will try to get it sorted over next few days as I'm not too confident on doing the scanning stuff so DS has kindly offered his assistance. Goodness knows what you would end up with if I did it straightaway. But I am going to learn how to do it (promise)
Finishing off another snowman card then planning what to do next - probably another xmas card. :rotfl:SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -

Signed up for 5 for £5 Cross Stitch Crazy. Think I'm about to get number 4 from my 5 for £5 WOXS, at what point will I have to cancel so that I don't get charged any more than £5 -would appreciate any advice.
Cancel it now. I've just cancelled mine (still due 1 issue of WOXS). When she asked why I just said it wasn't what I expected (loved it though!). She said would I consider 1 of their other X stitch mag offers, so signed up for cross stitch crazy- 3 issues for £1!! Also on the same offer was cross stitch gold and cross stitch card shop (already getting this 5 for £5).
Just thought I'd let you all know in case anyone needed to cancel anything, you can ask about other cross stitch offers if they don't offer them.
On to stitching - finished about 3/4 of the back stitch on Tenby Harbour, totally sick of it so put it away for a while. Now doing a dimensions kit called Peaceful Silhouette. http://www.crossstitchworld.com/Images/35018%20Peaceful%20Silhouette%20Boats%20Fishing%20Pier.jpg
Its coming along quite quickly as only the boats and building are full cross stitch. All the background is 1/2 cross stitch.
Bye for now
