Sunday working and new job

I can see you'll go a long way in life, showing zero respect for other people and their views/beliefs; then actually insulting people for disagreeing with you, or doing something you wouldn't. Good for you!skintandscared wrote: »You clearly make quite a hobby of making antagonistic and patronising remarks to people on here. My mum always told me that those who make it their mission to constantly put people down are really just too lazy to raise themselves up, and I have to say I've found that to be pretty true. Do yourself a favour, step away from the keyboard and make some real-life friends. It makes me sad to see someone clearly so miserable, who probably doesn't even realise it themselves...
Evidently you are exactly the same, as evidenced in the previous quote.Googlewhacker wrote: »If anyone opted out working on a sunday for me I would of course allow it but they wouldn't get the hours back elsewhere in the week.
Very glad I don't work for you then.skintandscared wrote:If Sunday working is an issue, I'm surprised the OP has shown any interest at all in working in an industry where Sunday is now an important working day.
I'm showing interest in the job; I want to have a job as opposed to being sat on JSA, and this is the business area I have the most experience in; without ever working a Sunday in it before.
If you don't think its such an issue, why don't you take the jobs that do require Sunday working, allowing those of us who have a valid reason for preferring it as a rest day to be able to have it.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

You said you resigned to take this job.0 -

My previous job was going nowhere, and likely to cause more problems and difficulties than it was worth; might have even ended. This job is something I'm much better at and have much more experience in.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

But obviously not on Sundays.
In future when you post - it would be really helpful if you could tell us what answer you want - that way we won't waste our time answering.0 -

I actually respect everyone's views and beliefs. You know nothing about me and I appreciate I know nothing about you either, except what you choose to post here. Which is that you're considering a job, in retail, but don't want to work the hours that a retail job demands these days. If you don't want to hear people's opinions, don't post. Simples.
