Just as a matter of interest, when I logged onto LTSB today, there was no similar message. Why isn't it affecting the LTSB side of the system if HBOS are migrating over to them?...........
Because the Lloyds TSB data isn't being touched.

  • I'm assuming that all HBOS account activity is being suspended between 00:00 and 04:00 (or later) - if they are importing data from one system to another and the accounts don't go live on the new system (CBS) for a few hours then how can people be using debit cards or ATMs during this time? I don't think they will be able to.

I hope that some customers aren't left in the lurch money-wise during those few hours on Sunday morning. If I was a HBOS customer and was going out Saturday evening I'd make sure I took out enough cash in advance.

That would be Sunday evening, because its 0000-0400 on Monday morning. Not sure about debit/atms, will check tomorrow for you.

I am sure your employer will be delighted about you chatting about this and internal systems on a public message board.

Phone them and they will tell you it all on the phone anyway...

I doubt they'd be allowed to go into such detail. I realise that you're trying to help people, but I am sure that some of the stuff you have mentioned will be private and confidential. It's normally a sackable offence in most contracts to leak information about internal procedures where you work in public.

I've not really went into much 'detail'. The only things I have said is that the online/fasterpayments will be down, along with some other things while accounts are migrated across onto the new platform. I could go into MUCH more detail, but I wont.

They will go into as much detail as you ask for both on the phone and in a branch.

I think everything in the past few posts is already in the public domain.

I doubt there's any problem with anything stated.
  • Just in case someone finds this useful

Last week I was informed at a Bank of Scotland branch that they are going to withdraw all their products and will offer only Lloyds products after the changeover. So if anyone wants to apply for a Bank of Scotland bank account, savings account, etc they should do it before the weekend.
