    Seems you did well? I want to share this with you! These are some quotes from the Carer's Log for my old friend. ALL BRITISH CITIZENS.
    1) "G" has a saw on her leg.
    2) I have cleaned her bum.
    3) I got her chips, taken £1: spent 80p: returned £20.
    4) 5ml four times a day, morning dose, gave 20ml.
    5) The Drs bin.

    Humm? I think the UK could do with a lot of immigrants if they can pass that test!!!!!!!

    Like all UK exams, this is another case of working for the test rather than really having to understand/know relevant stuff. And like the bitter Brit that I am, I'm going to dispute some of the "correct" answers :-):

    (1) The Married Property Act which stopped all wealth passing to the husband wasn't passed until 1882, so divorce in 1857 didn't have the modern meaning. For example, the children were passed automatically to the father;

    (2) People on the NMW are likely to be eligible for HC2 / tax credit exemption giving full help with health costs. This won't be true if their partner is earning a lot, but there are exceptions to all the categories - no-one non-resident is eligible in general while someone taking the test in Scotland can tick 'em all;

    (3) You can attend an NHS hospital with a referral from another consultant, not necessarily a GP;

    (4) Working during term time is not quite the same as working during a "school week" - consider a term which ends on a Tuesday - but I may be wrong on this and need to check.

    If it's a permanent Visa once he has it he never has to take it again. That's what permanent means.

  • I think you did well to just fail! As a test to gauge fitness to stay in the UK this test completely misses the point. Apparently the government were disappointed that less than 70% of applicants passed. The questions are so irrelevant to everyday life that I suspect less than 20% of native Brits would pass without study. Yet another demonstration (if one was needed) that our government is completely out of touch and incompetent.
