I got 19 out of 20 on that one. I'm more fit to be Austrailian (never having been there) than British!

    Photogenic
20 out of 20 on the Aussie one - because they were more sensible questions with direct relevance to the responsibilities and privileges of a citizen of a democracy.

  • 12/24 Most were total guesses! Sorry but if people wish to immigrate it is much more imporant that they wish to intergrate into British society, learn to speak the language and not just create a pocket of their own culture within Britain.

    9 out of 24.

Didn't really care when a woman could divorce her husband, or what % of the population are muslim.

I've never been turned away form a hosiptal when i've been, so i guess they've all been emergencies! ...or paid for a prescription before i was 18, but then again, I was in education (which I think is the differencial after you hit 16)

Maybe they should run the test on the whole country - with us brits out of the way, they'd have loads of room for all the immigrants!! (mind you, they'd not have the working base to pay for all the benefits som of them are on - yes i generalise)
Always on the hunt for a bargain.

Always grateful for any hints, tips or guidance as to where the best deals are:smileyhea

    Failed - 15 out of 24 (63%)

BUT..... Not all the options to tick showed up on my computer screen!!!! For instance, the one about which two places the European Parliament meets gave me only the options of London, Strasbourg and Paris. Brussells did NOT appear on my screen!

I'm not sure if this is because I'm using a netbook (if I remember I'll try again on the pc later) but I'd have thought it shouldn't make a difference.

    Interesting.....

Also, many of the questions are not relevant to me (I have no children, so why would I know about how many days schools are open, for instance) so I don't clutter my mind up with that information.

I dare say if I was doing the test "for real" and mugged up on it, I'd manage to pass.

It is a very strange test. I practised it over and over again with my daughter in law (from Thailand) and she passed it, but I as a 60 yr old British citizen did not know many of the answers. Thank goodness she did when it came to the point.
