for those that are interested, some MSE'ers started a group on yahoo to exchange seeds (for nowt! :j ). Surprisingly, it's called Seedexchange

i love this prog. when i saw her digging up the spuds it made me smile. back in summer of 05 we grew spuds. and digging them up seeing how many where there was so exciting. it was like winning a jack pot. not know how many there would be, but tons upon tons just seemed to keep producing.
the jeruslam articoke chips looked very interesting. going to see if i can find any locally and try that, maybe even plant some.
i have now booked my dad to help me once a week to sort garden out and plan my veggie plot.
not gonna miss the prog again. i have put it in the sky planner on series link and auto view. yah0 -

Got a very small area at the bottom of the garden, where nothing ever grows, approx 2m . 1.5m.

You could try a few rhubarb crowns there I suppose, and grow veg in containers in the sun.Most people overlook opportunity as it comes dressed in overalls, and looks like hard work.0 -

3kidsnomoney, That may not be a good place for veg, tell me a bit more about the site is it sunny/shady/damp/dry etc do you know what soil type you have?
2mx1.5 is plenty for a good selection if its in the right spot.0 -
