She was great wasn't she :T feeling very inspired now, planning how many pots to buy to grow my veggies in. I've got a paved back yard but after seeing all the things she grew on her balcony I don't think I have any reason not to now :j
One of my friends has just given me a top tip for getting compost... buy grow bags instead!! They contain virtually the same stuff but are often much cheaper
Right off in search of seeds :rotfl:

Just a reminder that the programme is repeated tonight at 7:30pm on BBC Two (except in Scotland where they have Did They Pay Off Their Mortgage in Two Years?, which already has its own thread on MSE
).

A friends dad runs a garden centre, and he warns not to think you get as good stuff out of a grow bag. They can be set up to work just as well, but they only contain enough nutrients to cope with 3 small tomato plants for a couple of weeks. So, if you do use them, make sure to get plenty appropriate plant food to keep your plants healthy.0
