Its not often I feel the need to say things about individuals (other than myself - I will abuse myself until I die)
BUT, riddle me this riddle me that, what is the point of entering a competiton that you can not get the benefit of for the prize.
I noted one particular users signiture today with read something like
PRIZES: This, That, The Other, Tickets to X (coundn't go), Tickets to Y (couldn't go), Tickets to Z (couldn't go)
Now one prize that you could not go to, I could understand. Somethign came up, you misread the date, etc etc, but when there are 3, 4, 5 surely the logic is not to enter them, giving someone who WANTS to go that extra chance of winning.
I remember one post on here last week for someone who cold not go to London for a prize as they misread the prize, or something... thats fair enough, everyone is human, but surely there is a line to be drawn.
Now some of you think I am better off living in someones rectal cavity, but this one signiture peeved me to no end.

Or at least offer them to someone else who wants them."Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile."- Jeep off roading trial - was fantastic - Freebie

I do think very carefully about tickets tbh because they usually come at the last minute and you can't pass them on.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

Have to say I agree if you can't go or it's too far etc... let someone win that can go.Mistakes can be made easily but I have often wondered why people enter for tickets to something that they know they can't go to.0

i presume this is my signature you are talking about , well the first one i couldnt go to because i misread the dates , the second because i didnt want to and the third i was going to go with someone off here but then my boy was ill all night and i couldnt go because of that but my freind and her bloke went instead , i also gave my winning tickets to one of the other things away to an mser so whats your problem ?? sometimes things unexpected come up and im sure im not the first person not to be able to go to something like this , as in the i won posts there are always people winning tickets and not able to gomy name is Kit and im addicted to competitions , the what if is my driving force

Totally agree, if you know you won't be able to go, then don't enter the competition. I feel quite strongly about entering honeymoon competitions, for my sins I'm already married, and remembered how expensive the whole thing is, so I never enter any of those competitions as they should be won by those more deserving. The same applies to a weeks' fishing holiday - my idea of hell, but someone might think this is the best prize ever, therefore my entry is depriving them of something that they want.
Don't just enter a competition just for the sake of it, think of others who really want the prize!!!!
Oh I better lie down now, I don't think I've ever ranted online before - sorry!0 -
I agree with most of your rant. As with tickets though they often don't tell you you've won til like the day before or something stupid, so even though you would LOVE to go, you can't organise babysitters/travel time/expense at such short notice.0

Same here, likewise I've noticed sometimes with trips where you get to meet a celebrity, and people comment saying they wouldn't bother meeting them or going to the concert but would go for the trip. I always think imagine what a dream come true that would be for a real fan. It's a bit greedy really.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0
