The LCC, London Competitors Club p'haps the oldest comp club in the UK has some of the countries top prize winners amongst it's members.
Ok it i now open to people outside london aswell who keep in touch via their website forum but a large proportion of members do live in the city.

BUt from what i understand they don't have much to do with magazine competitions, meeting only once a quater might mean you miss the cut off date. I could be wrong though.

Yes you're right,they do only meet quarterly at The Napier Hall but they do have a lively website/forum very similar to this where nearly 300 very keen compers post as near as possible every comp in the uk. They don't go to deep into web comps but their magazine Exchange is second to none, there can't be many mags in the country which are'nt covered and of course all the usual entry forms.
Membership costs £12 per year which covers all over heads, hall, their own newsletter & access to the board, Theres details here of the membership secratary for all enquiries

You have to register to get all the links and stuff (and you can upgrade and pay to get the answers, but to be honest they're either simple or they are competitions without questions)

It hasn't got any comps on it though. It's for compers to meet up and chat in a group.

I think our lines crossed with the local comp club you just found,,,,,,,,
They're always a great souce of motivation, e/f swops,general comp chat etc, after all you can really only comp talk with fellow compers,:T
