One tip would be to avoid anything that says you have won "X" but you have to send an administration fee, or delivery charge. If you genuinely win something it is normally absolutely free. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I used to enter loads of magazine comps but never won anything (well ok i won a microscope when i was 8). I know i got the answers right and posted them in ontime. Then I realised something, when you look at the winners in the back of the mag none of them live in london. In fact I thik I have only seen a handful of London address' in several years. Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone in London won anything from a women's weekly mag (take a break, that's life, etc etc)?0

I was commenting on this to flufynit last week. The compers that live in the big cities like Kipper and fluffynit don't seem to get the same amount of prizes as the rest of us. I am sure it is because there are proprtionately more compers from big cities and promotors don't want four people from the same place on their winner's list.0

My boyfriend lives in London and he's been comping for about 10 years (he's the one who got me into it) and he used to win loads of comps but he's noticed in the last 2 or so years it has gone down quite a lot. But then again so has mine and I live a town so maybe everyones has gone down.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I have given up on the comping now i think , its a wste of a stamp (and its got to add up on the carbon footprint in some way). Maybe if I ever move out of London again i'll take it back up, may have to find an obscure village though, that might help.0

Can't be that bad 'cause you do get to go to all the radio/tv recordings for free
when I look at winners it's rare to find any one from my county, let alone local area..........
