Have been doing them for ages it's a really good site.....it's legit, I found it before I found here..and some comps do appear here that I would never have found myself....but I can recommend competitors companion.
I paid the £10 a year before I found MSE because I like the way it crosses out the comp for you so you know you have entered it. It's easy to make up your subscription from teh comps.

Gosh thanks for the compliment, I never do tiebreakers, I've only just started to do the postal entries but I've avoided the tiebreakers so far as I think that other people must be much smarter than me at making things up. What tips, clues etc can anyone give as to how to tell if a competition is genuine or a scam?
Things like :questions that should not be asked; types of disclaimer; how to tell genuine websites etc.

It would be aswell to search MSE to check out if others have posted. I had "won" a holiday, but I looked on MSE and saw that it was in fact a scam whereby you HAVE to attend a presentation about timeshare. In the thread I read, those that did not go to the presentation got treated terribly and the sell was extremely hard. Not up to having that happen to me, so I turned on my heals.

Google the company name, look for reviews, etc... websites, look for full contact details, offers of prizes look at any small print.
