Not the finest meal deal, they have replaced it with a £10 Pizza Express meal deal. Large Pizza, bottle of wine, side and dessert.

O Yes had forgotton about that , nice one.

Hi, its always worked alongside any meal deals in the past, so see no reason why it would not work this time, also it has worked on the 3 for £12 and 2 for £10 wines in the past also, with the 25% discount being deducted from the full price!!!!
I am still drinking my wine lake, but cannot resist a bargain!!!

Apologies for being a bit slow here, but can someone clarify, does the 25% deal work on small bottles & what is the mealdeal/wine thingy.

The meal deal is a deal for £10, usually including overpriced wine, whereby if you buy 6 mealdeals the till takes off 25% of the full price of the wine, in addition to the discount on the £10 mealdeal.
The small bottles are usually included in the 25% off deal, not sure if anyone has actually bought some this morning.

Can confirm that it worked fine in store on all both 3 for 12 and 2 for 10!

Just come back from shopping and bought:

    2 x vin de malbec @ £7.79 (2 for £10)
    6 x Vina albi @ 5.99 (3 for £12)

    discounts 2 for 10 -£5.58
    3 or 12 -£11.94
    Wine discount (25%) -12.88

    total savings -£30.40

    Wee-hee!

I haven't tried the Albi, but it 'feels' good. We use a rule of thumb for unknown wine that if they have bothered to put it in a good bottle (bit indent underneath) then it is probably ok. If the bottle is flat on the bottom it is a cheap bottle, and might be a reflection on the wine as well.... HTH!

...also in Chich3ster, no mini's on offer.

I dont understand how it comes out at £2.80 per bottle? (Sorry, not had 2nd cuppa yet!)

    My maths went something like:

    8.79 x 6 = £52.74

    25% of 53.82 = £13.18 discount

6 bottles of wine on the 2 for £10 is £30

    £30 - £13.18 = £16.82

    £16.82/6 = £2.80 per bottle

And the poster above has just confirmed it is working on the 2 for £10 deal, yay!

Hi so how many bottles of wine do you have to buy to get the best deal? Is it 6 or 8? I have seen some wine that I would like to buy which is on offer at 2 for £5.00 can anyone tell me how much I should pay once all the discounts have come off as maths is really not my friend.

    Thank you in advance! :)

I presume you mean the silver bay wine so the discount would be:

    6*£3.49*0.25 = £5.23

Due to the 2 for £5 promo you would pay £15 for 3 lots of 2

So final bill would be £15-£5.23 = £9.77 for 6 bottles

    or £1.63 each
