Tesco small wine bottles - glitch back on??

Hi,

I have just had an email from Tesco stating 25% off all wines and champagnes when you buy 6. I believe this was the offer which resulted in the last glitch whereby you could buy 4 bottles of small wine for £5.00 but the discount was deducted at the full price. Currently the small bottles are 2 for £3. So Fern Bay is £1.99/ bottle or 2 for £3.00. So 6 bottles is £11.94. 25% discount amounts to £2.99. 6 bottles in the 2 for £3.00 amounts to £9.00 so £9.00 less £2.99 equals £6.01. Or works out at £5.64 if you buy Jacobs Creek at £2.24 a bottle.

PLEASE NOTE - I HAVEN'T TRIED THIS YET - may pop out when DH gets home but see no reason why it won't work the same as last time. They also have some wines at half price at the moment - First Cape Limited Release Pinotage/Shiraz rose is £3.49 a bottle - 6 bottles for £15.70 - not bad! :beer: or a wine!!:D

oh i didnt realise that it was instore too, i thought it was online. hmmmm

Right at the bottom of the email it states "online or instore". I did look online but for some reason it doesn't show the 25% discount in your basket - at least it didn't in mine. I'm also wondering whether to try some of their 2 for £10 deals on wine. Most of these are £7 + per bottle but if the glitch works then it will work out at less than £20 for six bottles. I will update after I've been.

doesn't work for me online, not with the small bottles. It did work in store the last time.

Did it show the 25% discount at all? Mine didn't although I had a shop delivered today which included 6 bottles of wine and although the 5% discount hadn't shown online in the price, it was on my printed receipt when delivered so I wonder if this would be the same?

No it didn't show and I'm reluctant to order online as there's delivery too. I'll try the store, thanks

I *think* when you order online it doesn't show the 25% off until you get the receipt with delivery. Can anyone confirm? I've got an order coming Friday and just added 6 small bottles.

Yeah, I ordered a load last time and the discount didn't show online but it did work out and was shown on the receipt. People had said that had happened and I rang customer services just before I placed my order and she verified that I would still get the discount. Go for it!:)
