No you didn't clearly state the points ,you just said it was discrimination..I'm glad to see you agree though. I had earlier
Not sure what your point is about blue badges though ..they have no relevance in this context.I never said they did did I?
Are you always so bloody rude ..I can only presume you are one of those perfect people who never ever get things even slightly wrong !You are still being patronising I find that rude
Abusing people is not encouraged on this forum.
You are encouraging it by not reading things properly. someone else had mentioned wheelchairs in connection with someone who had applied for a blue badge - I was pointing out just because they were entitled to a blue badge (which was not that relevant in this case) does not mean they are in a wheelchair.
Do you get it now? Sheesh. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Yes I get you perfectly thanks, so stop being so rude.
Please note the relevant Act is The Equality Act not the DDA.
Unlike some I don't have time to read every thread from the start each time ,so yes I can take things out of context and make errors ..but I can admit it too.
(I have also taken the liberty of correcting your error of omission re batons in another thread ..I hope you don't mind )0 -
For Legal purposes :
What you have actually been given is not a fine, it is an invitation to pay a private invoice disguised as a fake parking ticket , you are perfectly within your legal rights to IGNORE the invitation to pay the invoice and there is not a great deal they can do about it other than send threatening letters, which again you can quite safely ignore, including the fake solicitors and fake debt collection agency letters, it is a scam of impersonation.
Do not waste any more time writing letters, you will get nowhere except receive even more harassment.
ADVICE: STOP ! and Ignore them from now on, your legal arguments are invalid because you are not arguing with normal people, bob back from time to time for reassurance when you get the "threat letters"
Next Case please.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Sorry but it was an error, the DDA has been superceded and is now incorporated within the Equality Act 2010. There is no DDA now.
And the poster who mentioned they could look on CCTV to see the OP in the wheelchair was simply using it to help that particular disabled person make a clear point to IKEA. No-one on here is daft enough to think that all disabled people all have wheelchairs, or even any obvious walking difficulty. We know the Equality Act's 'Definition of Disability' as we have discussed it and linked it to this parking board often enough, when PPCs slap tickets on cars for 'having no Blue Badge even though a disabled person doesn't have to'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My answer was re the other thread. But thanks - i didn't want to make this go to far off topic and I even think Sirdan is one of the good guys. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all your comments. I have finished the letter and will update everyone once I hear back (or if I hear back!) Sending to three separate offices.
These forums rock! :beer:0 -
LMAO! I had the ParkingEye website open (forgot to close it last night) - Noticed a new addition:
Blue Badge Holders
There are no concessions for Blue Badge holders, as a Blue Badge only relates to Council / Local Authority parking areas, not private land. If you are a Blue Badge holder and have received a Parking Charge, we will of course consider any appeals put in writing, though would ask you also send a copy of your Blue Badge and any other information you feel may support your appeal, ie a receipt to prove expenditure at the location, a copy of your P&D ticket, etc.
No concessions... so I was charged because...?0 -

basically Parking Eye want their money no ifs no buts, but they are in breach of the law by demanding it from OP imho0 -

They have hung themselves, and I would bring that section of the website to the attention of Trading Standards, as it so obviously breaches the Equalities Act imho. parking Eye would counter that the paragraph by denying concessions, actually constitutes "Equal treatment" under the Act in their greedy warped twisted imagination.0 -
I know. But the post on there made me laugh. I've written to the BPA this morning and intend to write to trading standards also.
In my letter to IKEA, I requested they send me footage from CCTV as I will need this should ParkingEye take me to court, or as mentioned in my letter, should I feel the need to take IKEa and ParkingEye to court over a breach of the Equalities Act (and if I need to, I will).
The BPA states that they cannot do anything about issues on private land, but ParkingEye is associated with the BPA - Confusing!
The more I get into this, the more I feel compelled to do something more drastic. Obviously by coming to this website, I now know the law regarding this, but I wonder how many disabled people have actually been targeted and made to pay these charges. So annoying.
While we await a response... any ideas?0
