Hi all
Thanks for the new thread, Honey and Pinkwinged
I've added a few more people to the chart and made a few amendments, and as we've now got a lovely new thread I'm posting it again here.
Welcome to all the new people, and welcome back to the returners!

Hi all
The 2 pound weight loss club is for people who want to set themselves interim goals rather than being demotivated by the thought of having a large amount of weight to lose. Members aim to lose 2lbs each week (or whatever amount suits you), and there are no consequences if this isn't achieved - I won't bash anyone over the head, but someone will give you a boot up the bum if you want one!
I keep a chart with all the members, their result and their weight loss so far, which I update and post every Monday evening. If you attend a slimming class, just post your weight loss on whatever day you go and I'll pick it up for the next update. If you're going it alone, set Monday as your regular weigh in day and post your results and I'll include them.
I can also include an interim target - for example, many of us are aiming to lose half a stone by 5th February - and show how close you are to achieving it.
No need to reveal your actual weight (unless you want to) and I don't need any evidence - there's no point in cheating, you'd only be cheating yourself!
The current chart is here. If you want to join, you can send me an email or a PM, or just post on this thread.
Good luck

I hadn't actually had my evening meal so do I now have something nutritious or just have some fruit and try and minimise the damage by not having any more food today?
Really fed up, but more than anything, disappointed in myself that I have only managed a week before messing up.
Why is this so hard?
Hiya Katie, please don't beat yourself up. I've just been watching Paul McKenna on sky3 and he says it's a learning curve and everyone will make mistakes and have setbacks before they get the swing of things. Don't beat yourself up about it... a baby falls quite a few times before it eventually learns to walk, but you don't critise them for falling - you praise them for trying and encourage them to keep going. Besides, most successful weightloss plans are an 80 -20 % split. If you follow your plan 80% of the time, you'll still succeed. Well done on your good week so far :T- and you did better than me at the gym (I hate the place and never go)Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Hiya,
Another lurker, but I noticed there are not many doing weight watchers like me but I'd like to join in the trials and tribulations aka fun too.
I joined w.w. at the start of September last year and I've lost 2st so far,
4 - 4 1/2st to go not including any loss / gain this week at first weigh in Sat after the Christmas festivities.
Fingers crossed asI am so looking forward to getting back to things. Unlike many of you, I haven't pigged out on the Christmas sweeties, only due to the fact they are still in their wrappers, sealed! As long as they stay like that I hope to be fine. Oh the joys of Christmas and kids! Mind you my darling oldest son thought he had got me a fantastic Christmas present this year - a 1kg bar of dairy milk, I daren't open it, unless in the company of at least 80 people so I can share it out hopefully leaving me with a maximum of 2 squares (1.5pts).
Anyway good luck to all, and I posted a recipe on the other thread.
PS My advice to anyone on any slimming plan, invest in long handled tea spoons if you can get a hold of them. You just can't eat anything fast with them as everything seems to be luxurious when you eat it from ice cream (recommend a square of choc grated into it),a muller yoghurt or my favourites, stewed apples eaten whilst they are still hot with the option of adding cinnamon or ginger to them.
If your taking your time eating, which these do seem to make you do, your enjoying the food more and savouring the taste, thus the full feeling lasts longer. Might just be me though, but worth a try.0 -
morning :hello:
i have to remind myself not to skip breakfast!! it just makes me eat silly things till lunch
i have to confess thoughwe've still got that piece of marble cake and i don't like throwing away good food and i am the only one who likes it though i have it piece by piece every morning (instead of scoffing the whole lot at once ) - but then i'll be back to cereals - promised!!!
no idea what's for lunch today but dinner i know. (green beans in a dill sauce, potatoes and a bit of beef from the beef soup i've made)
 beef soup for lunch of course
so what is everyone else up to???I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
Morning All
What a lovely new thread. I see everyone seems to struggle with the left over chocolate and stuff from Christmas. I totally agree with Consultant, if it is in the house then I will eat it. I think it takes so much willpower not so surely it is better to get rid of it. I also think the time of year makes it more difficult, drak rainny and cold. Just come back from Sunny SouthAfrica where all the fruit and veg where is season and much nicer than here. So much easier to eat well with such a selection.
Been good yesterday all day but then had 3 glasses of wine last night. I only started my own wine points system Tuesday so only allowed 6 glasses this week. Goining out to lunch with a friend today so will try to choose something good on the menu.
Take care all and

Hello.... Can I join too?
I'm 5'5'' and weigh 12st. I'd really like to weigh 10 1/2. I live by myself so it should be easy (i.e. I don't have to take anyone else's habits into account) but infact I often don't plan my shopping enough and I also go through periods when 'exceptions' (i.e certain types of unhealthy food) seem to become rules/norms (i.e. I seem to eat them rather regularly...!)
The 5 things I need to fix are:
1. Meal planning including not going shopping when I'm hungry (usually straight after work.)
2. Portion control (large portions of veg/fruit = OK, large portions of other stuff, even healthy stuff like brown rice = not OK!)
3. Making myself a healthy lunch for work everyday
4. Drinking less!
5. Finding a kind of exercise which works for me.
Although I was going to the gym regularly last autumn, it made me constantly hungry, so I have quit. I was thinking of starting Tai Chi as I felt the relaxation would probably counteract stress-eating.
Unfortunately I hurt my ankle recently and have decided take up swimming for a bit as I can't put too much weight on it. (I don't like swimming - I find it very boring but I don't want to stop exercising completely as I literally won't fit into my clothes!)
