Talk Mobile - £1 Per Month Sim Only Deal!!

Ordered the £1/m SIM yesterday afternoon...ONLINE... delivered 1 hr ago by DHL.
Been on CPW website today & confirmed out of allowance tarrif is 8p & 4p as originally quoted. (printed screen for proof).
Included in the package is a card with a scratch off code that can be used to get a "Free for 12 months" Tastecard.

can't find anythiing about mobile internet or picture messaging or international roaming, so I guess you can't do any of this with this sim?

You probably can, but you'd probably be [STRIKE]mad[/STRIKE] foolish to try.

Remember that, as repeatedly indicated by messages from the MSE team, this SIM is almost certainly NOT using the 8p/4p 'Essentials' tariff indicated on the CPW website (which doesn't mention data usage etc), it is much more likely to use the SIMple tariff where data is charged at 10p/1MB. However, this is when you go over your 500MB/month (£8/£12 pm) or 1GB/month (£18pm contracts) allocation.

This SIM is intended for very-low-usage users -- those that still fall below the cheapest existing 'inclusive' packages -- not people using it for data-based functionality.

Just got a sim from CPW and their website states rate as being 8p and 4p

Go to carphonewarehouse.com/pay-monthly/tariff-deals/TMSO1

So not sure where this new figure is coming from. I will wait and see and if charged more, will pursue it as mis-selling.

I think it will only work on a locked phone that is on vodafone or other network (such as asda mobile) that piggybacks vodafone

Yes - The only locked network phones this might work on is Vodafone.
