Couple of questions if anyone can help me. I am thinking of going for this deal as I have very low usage.
If the unused mins/texts roll onto next month, is it just for one month or more?
I would be very surprised if unused mins/texts rolled-over.

Has anyone's quidco tracked? i haven't joined topcashback - would it really track at £50??
It is not uncommon for Quidco cashback to track at a different rate to that eventually paid. This is often mentioned within the relevant cashback notes. Just don't expect to get £50 if the notes say your cashback will be £10!

I will need a cheap phone for this - I have looked at Tesco as they have double up - can anyone guide me here? I think there is only one phone that is on vodaphone. I just want a basic phone - no fancy bits!
You want an unlocked phone, as a new 'Vodafone' phone will be supplied with a different contract (I would expect) although this SIM will also work in a Vodafone-locked handset if you get a secondhand one.

Lastly someone mentioned that billing is from 15th -so to make the most one should order just before that? Does that make a difference? Is it the ordering date that matters or activating date?
    Thanks for any guidance/help.
I've seen this mentioned earlier. I think the 15th is when the monthly allowances are refreshed, but if you order too early before the 15th you could be charged £1 for a very short 'month'. However, considering how little it costs, and what a small allowance the tariff provides, it's not going to make a significant difference either way.

OP has mention 30day rolling contract - does it mean not mean that the unused mins are carried forward, or have I misunderstood?

Yes you have misunderstood. It is the contract that rolls over from one month to the next where it restarts till you pull the plug. Minutes & texts set to zero at end of billing period (month).

OK, I did misunderstand that! Now I know what rolling one month contract is. Thanks for clarifying that as I was also wondering if this was a 12 month contract! thank you

But I think you need to buy a top up with them...the talkmobile £10 top up would do then you'd get the 8p calls and 4p texts when you'd used up your months freebies.

where would I get a cheap phone suitable for this sim (preferably a flip over) as I only have orange phone

It will probably be cheaper to unlock your current phone than buying a new one. There'll be a stall at your local market or similar that can do it.
  • I was going to buy one of these online but noticed that the padlock is crossed out suggesting carphone warehouse does not use a safe payment mechanism
  • It's better to buy it from the talkmobile website as you can only port your number instore or on the talkmobile website and it can only be done at purchase, I know because I bought the £5 month contract of the earphone website and now I want to port my old number I can't!

But its not available via the Talk Mobile Website only at a Carphone Warehouse Shop or online at CPW.

Note the CPW site now shows the corrrect rates that you incur if you use it outside of inclusive minutes.
