Are these redemptions reliable? Isn'tit easier just to play the pound each month?

    cheers
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
  • I currently have a mobile contract with Talkmobile and the problems are endless. I would advice anyone to stay well clear!!!!

If you only want to end up paying 99p a month, you can get a redemption deal from E2save for Talkmobile with a phone + 200 mins, 200 texts and 1GB internet.

I will never in my life do a redemption plan again. Lost hundreds of pounds doing that last time. I may consider the auto cash back of £110 but the monthly plan is £12 for 24 months. And the phone is pink...no thanks...So that plan will cost about £7.50 per month after auto cash back. Taking into account the potential £30 Quidco cash back would bring it down to just a bit more than £6.15 per month. For the hassle factor I would rather pay £1 per month and watch the minutes and text allowance closely.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

No problems whatsoever with my redemption plan and this is my first contract phone. Just keep your wits about you and write the dates on your calendar when you have to send your bills to them by. They will give you a month anyway to get a copy of your bill to them. Like I said, if you keep your wits about you, it's a no brainer.

You would help more people by describing your problems than by leaving such a short post.

And remember if you want to take your old phone number with you you'll need a PAC code before you begin the purchase.

If you do it online don't use CarPhoneWarehouse's order form because there is no place to put your PAC code (or I couldn't find it). Go to TalkMobile's site.

I ordered mine this way and then ended up going into the shop to sort it out. Give CPW their credit it was quite simple, they cancelled the contract and started a new one there and then so no one noticed I'd been without a phone!

P.S. there's no Cash Back on sim only deals

Is that one of those deals where you have to claim money back?

I found that checking the allowance using 5888 on this contract is not really real reliable.

What happen is that the allowance thay they give you is not up to date. They will tell you that your allowance is 5 minutes (say) but when you use it you will be over your allowance.

It happened to me twice already, the first one I paid about £7.50 Pound the second one I paid £1.75 (do not remember the exact figure).

I do not know what prevent them to tell the real time allowance, they are phone companies with data is always connected o9nline ?
are they deliberately do this to confuse and to catch their customer ???
