There are plenty of places he can live on his own with daily support from the people who are paid to help others in situations like this. he isnt the first and he will be far from the last.. but as long as these people think someone is daft enough to do their job for them.. ie.. YOU.. they wont provide anything.

There are blocks of flats here filled with smack heads and ex/prostitutes and other unsavoury sorts you wouldnt want your child to become and many of them have mental health issues to boot.. I think most would have to have them to end up there in the first place.. he is no different to any of them.. he has a myriad of issues which all need support and unless he is willing to ask for that help himself and accept it he wont change.. not ever.

Regardless of whether you love him, his parents love him, the children love him.. he needs to do this himself.

Thanks piggers, i know your all right and i do know of a block of flats that are used for people with mental health problem and a nurse is always pressent in the building plus nobody can get in unless the staff allow it. So if he went there and chose to go to places he shouldn't then it would be his own doing. I'll ask the CPN about it next week and see if they would offer it to KH, then it's up to him weather he takes it or now.

    Afternoon everyone,

Hope everyone is doing okay. I've had a bit of a funny couple of days - mainly a case of CBA's Thankfully it seems to have passed to some degree although I have still got haven't got my full GUAG back :D

But I have been very positive this afternoon and completely gutted my cooker inside and out, both top and bottom ovens. I've even cleaned all the glass inside the doors and the shelves. And threw away all tatty cooking trays and replaced them with the new ones that were still in the wrapping from when we bought them before Christmas :p I felt so happy with the cooker that I decided to make myself some cheese on toast. I haven't had this for at least a year if not more as I didn't like to use the grill. Oooh I have never tasted something so good, it was thoroughly enjoyable I can tell you :D

I had another case of someone changing plans without telling me yesterday, after therapy, and I will admit I saw red. And really let them have it both barrels  It was one of the girls in my group, and she had already arranged for me to take her home afterwards well she didn't tell me that she was going to stay to lunch in the canteen with one of the other girls. Well me like a silly twit I am was waiting for her in reception as I knew she was following us. When she didn't turn up I looked for her, then ended up in the canteen where she was happily queueing up for lunch with this other girl. Afraid that was like a red rag to me - I ended up telling her what I thought of her, how selfish she was and how she was a bit hypocritcal as she had only been talking about being let down and how it made her feel when people didn't turn up etc, in therapy. And she does the exact same thing to me. Well I told her that I wouldn't be taking her to group anymore, or taking her home afterwards. Afraid I got a bit childish after that and basically said that as she was so pally with this other girl she could get them to bring her and take her home - which I am sure would go down with this girls mother who brings her in - NOT!! I was fuming afterwards and drove home with my music on full blast, the windows wide open and speeding over the humps in one of the side roads out. I know stupid of me, but I was not in a good mood - I texted my mate T that I was in a foul mood and she ended up taking me out for the afternoon with her and we gorged on cream cakes afterwards.. I felt heaps better!!:rotfl:

Thanks, I'm OK while I have canine guests.:D Though I realise I've spent the last week running on caffeine and adrenaline - flaked out til gone 11 when Mr LW left for work; while Louie was staying, I'd have had 2 caffeine tablets, a glass of Red Bull, taken him for a 45 minute walk and be on my 2nd mug of coffee by now!! Still, ed will be arriving tomorrow afternoon, so that's good.:D

I know what you mean about people changing things with little/no notice - I'd be spitting neutrinos if that was me!

Oooh I'm so pleased it isn't just me that needs caffeine tablets to get going during the day. Hubby reakons I have shares in ProPlus at the moment..lol. Although I do only take them in the morning and not during the day..but I am bad as I found two weren't working with my medication so I am now taking 4 in the morning. Still it does help me get energetic in the mornings and do stuff..lol Also it stops me falling asleep for no reason at all.. I can then rest during the afternoon in front of trashy tv with various bits I can do while sitting down. :D

Vanilla sweetie I have sent you a pm :) Stay strong, I cannot add anything more to what the others have said just that we are all here for you xxx

    Evening ladies,
Busy week here......am gona take it easy tonight, and get ready to hit the ground running in the morning.I just want to get some washing on the go and spread it around the place to dry so that i can iron tomorrow rather than leaving it to my usual last minute on Sunday.

Vanilla Has DH tried going to N(arcotics A(nonymous)? Are there any meetings near to you?

  • My cot has arrived and its beautiful, I cant wait for my parents to come down for a weekend and build it and sort the babys room out for me. its going to be here before i know it and am starting to panic that ive still got a fair few bits to get for it. its only little bits really but im still going argh over it.

vanilla, can KH or DH or whatever you are calling him :D stay in a caravan on site near his parents? that way they can have him to help with the cattle and the kids can still see him on a regular basis, but your not having to live with him. although the supported accomodation sounds much better if im honest as that way you dont feel like your having to take responsibility for him which i feel will happen if he moved back even if he moved in with his parents.

its so difficult and i dont really know what to say other than DONT YOU DARE LET HIM MOVE BACK IN WITH YOU AND THE KIDS!

flying wise i really cant be bothered at the moment, im tired, cold and sore and constantly going to the loo so ive managed to strip and make my bed but its not been washed yet and wont be till tomorrow afternoon when ive got a couple days off work. im annoyed though as i had a good start to the week but its just fallen by the by. next week i dont have as much on so will hopefully play catch up a bit more.

Oh, and flyladied the fish tank when I came back from the aquarium shop. Morris & the Munchers now have an extra 5 inhabitants - 3 Cloud Mountain Minnows, a Leopard Danio to replace the deceased one and a bright yellow apple snail who has been promptly named Gary . The little ones are all shoaling happily with the existing occupants and I've planted it up a bit more to give the little ones somewhere to hide. Oh, and Gary is quite happily cleaning the vegetation, glass and stones of algae.

Need to stir myself to cook some munch. Think it's going to be a great lump of still mooing cow, mushrooms and wedges.

Tell the PIL you aren't having him back, ever, Vanilla. Otherwise they will expect you to keep protecting him from the consequences of taking stuff, spending a fortune on things, getting speeding tickets, getting tattoos instead of paying bills, and there will always be the idea that he just has to be good for a couple of weeks until you give in and bail him out all again. If you decide you want to change your mind in the future, that is your decision, but they seem to think their walking hamburgers are worth you and your children being stuck with a completely dysfunctional person.

If he decides to hurt himself, then that isn't your fault. If he does, well, he's chosen to do it. There's a fair chance that an attempt would be purely to frighten you and his parents into leaping in to save him/pay for his entertainment again, as well. Nowt so manipulative as a user.

Anyway, my twopenn'orth decluttered, I'm off for din-dins!

Vanilla tbh I think the cattle should go if they are the problem. Do not back down, nothing has changed, stay strong.
